I was curious when I was younger but today, no thanks.
What I don't get is how women can do that, especially something like a lap dance. The thought of rubbing up against some stranger gives me the creeps, I don't care how much money you'd pay me (not that anyone would pay to have me rub up against them).
Evidently some dancers must have some problems with it, or else customers wouldn't leave feeling short-changed. There wouldn't be a club marketing itself has having the longest lap dance.
There's women's groups out there on both sides of this issue. There's those that believe women need protecting and there's those that believe it's a woman's body to do with as she pleases.
I wonder what NOW's stance is on the issue?

Drop a few bucks on the tip rails for stage dances. Next thing you know...the wallet is empty. Of course, I've never been in there. :)

I went in to see if I could get the cover charge waived since we had a large group. As I was bargaining with the mountain of a man I glanced up on stage. There in all her glory was my best friends sister, yea, the same guy whose bachelor party it was. I couldn't believe it. I had known her my whole life and she was like a sister to me too. I was turning around to get back on the bus and telling the driver to get us the hell out of there.
Too late my friend had already made his way inside. I told him we needed to leave and in a hurry. He started asking why and I said, trust me I'll tell you later. Well by now the whole group is inside and it's too late. Another guy immediatly recognizes his sister. He was stunned to say the least. Of course the rest of the guys being so sensitive gave him a ration of shit about it all night. We left right away but the damage was done. It was certainly a night i'll never forget. :)

When faced with only the threat of a budget cut last winter, she abruptly cut her office's public service hours in half for four weeks. Her proposal to require that voters show an ID card in order to vote would disenfranchise a few and inconvenience many.
Unwarranted fixation on voter fraud ? Well it's a big part of her job. Having to show an I.D,,,,Gasp. Yea we wouldn't want to inconvienence someone to show an I.D card of some sorts. I mean it's only our election and our future. Try that next time you write a check and tell them you're being inconvenienced. But oh no, we wouldn't want that. What would we have next, free and true elections ? Golly, can't have that. Well they just want every vote to count, even the ones that shouldn't, as long as it's for their candidate. These people are insane.

The Star Tribune is not the kind of paper you ought to depend on for much of anything. So I mostly ignore it. Which is too bad, because this city deserves a decent newspaper like anywhere else.

A vote on orange vs. tomato is expected to take place in early December if the permanent nations can agree with the general assembly as to the language of the resolution. France has called upon nations to not be too critical of orange juice since it's richness in vitamin C has many benefits. Kofi Annan is taking it under advisement.
