ok- since I love Disney--- I happen to stay at the Polynesian a couple times- AWESOME...I found this...

This is an Incredible find of Walt Disney's Map of the Magic kingdom and Surrounding Hotels...This is the Original Picture that used to hang on the hotel wall of every room in the Polynesian Hotel and The Contemporary Resort...We stayed at both Hotels when the Park was first opened in the early 70's I actually remember coming in from the Park and standing on the bed and Tracing the roads with my fingers!!!! It is one of my Best Childhood Memories of staying on grounds at Walt Disney World ~~ It truly is a Magnificent Piece and a Rare find...it shows the monorail system, frontier land, discovery island, and Three hotels that never came to be....There is no Grand Floridian on this map... I was told that these pictures were all destroyed as they renovated the rooms at the Polynesian and contemporary !!!! This Piece is in Good Condition, we have built a frame for it, We Believe Disney had it Bolted to the wall, we have covered the holes with a Frame ... Picture with frame measures 63" wide 50" tall and two inches thick. The picture itself is less thick about a 1/2 inch without the frame!!!! It is very heavy !!! Good Luck to you all !!!! This is truly a Great Piece of Disney History.... !!!!!!! WALT DISNEY PRODUCTIONS !!!!!!!!!

Cool. But $300k?!! I have the original Valley Fair poster that includes the walk through haunted house from year one. Anyone remember how you got to the house? And what you had to do in order to leave? They tried fixing the problem in year two but it still didn't work. It's the reason why it only survived for those 2 years.

ooooh BF- the Thompson paper I would love- I have the book and my dad knew the guy. I would love to put that in my collection. What are you doing holding onto it? I still plan sometime to drive by the house in Highland park and snap a photo to place in the book too. I know its kinda strange but I really wish my book were signed by T.E. Thompson.

I have JFK newspapers already but I am not sure if I am gonna hold onto those myself. I have many HHHumphrey newspapers too. I for some reason am drawn to the more unusual closer to home stories like the Thompson murder when it comes to more recent stuff.

Black 1970's Levitz satin look & feel -small-not oversized or poofy

owners hardly ever used it - it sat in their livingroom that they used for holidays.

ONLY 1 problem.... they were/are smokers and have 1 cat.
you will need to fabreeze it or clean it up a bit cause of the smokey smell. I didn't see any surface stains. has some cat hair but it comes off easily with tape because it is a satin material.

I think it has 5-6 pieces

you pick up in White Bear Lake ---BUT ITS FREE!

e-gram me if you want to go get it or post here.

I thought the Clowns would like it- but anyone? I would take it but I want love seats in my family room instead of a sectional AND we don't smoke and I don't like the smell of fabreeze.

Wanted: Ok ok, I know. It seems like this is probably quite a bit to ask for, but we would love to have a three bedroom mobile home. Now I realize most people just wouldn't give one away normally, but you never know until you ask, right? I wouldn't even ask, but we need more space. Oh, and of course, we would move it. Thanks and Bless You. (Item #23008)

Look what I found on eBay

I haven't seen my father since 1966. He used to be a sports reporter for both major Indianapolis newspapers. He began publishing his own magazine. I've been looking for a copy (I used to have them all !), at a reasonable price.

eBay is incredible

Well, I am actually in tears and I dont think its cause I am "just a woman" this time...

My dad died 9 years ago yesterday.

I opened my e-mail thismorming...

It was actually sent to me YESTERDAY! August 21st
(I didnt open it til thismorning)

The e-mail was from my dads oldest sister -whom we have never met -never heard from - only knew her first name.

I have been working for 10 years on trying to locate my dads siblings and even find out if my grandparents are alive or dead with no luck.

The hardest part is -my dad came from Oklahoma -so far away. Well, I kept pursuing - the internet kept getting bigger and other people were using it to add to their family history - I used the Oklahoma websites and Ancestery.com ---I even e-mailed people in Oklahoma and thats where this paid off...

2 men in Oklahoma actually not only read my e-mails and saw we were NOT relatedd to them-they went a step further and did their own research for me --

1 man asked people in the area (including a 80 yr old woman)but they didnt recall my family names.

the other man actually FOUND a possible lineage...he e-mailed it to me-I checked it out and e-mailed the woman who in turned e-mailed a couple people who in turn e-mailed MY AUNT!!!!! she just e-mailed ME!!!!!!!!!!!

I have found my AUNT! OMG- I feel like I won the lottery - I am bursting!

and on top of that -I recieved the contact on my dad's death date!

AMAZING!

Great news me2!

Just be sure that it's really your aunt and not some scam of some sort. I'd hate to even bring up something like that, but I hear things like that happening all the time. Like "would you please send me air fare so I can visit you? I'll pay you when I get there....."
Just a paranoid thought is all in times like these. I'm sure it's gonna be fine and everything is good, but just a thought. I am happy for ya though.

Weekend Update:

well, I had the happiest feeling ever in my life---I cried so hard I became so sick! (does that make sense?) I had to take advil

I got to talk with my new Aunt Pat for a couple hours Friday night-I took my cellphone to the Cherokee bluff and watched the fireworks from the state fair and the beautiful state capitol view as we talked about our families.

It is really my dads sister and the whole family!
they last saw him in the mid 1960's.
we have talked for a couple hours on the phone and already have had numorous e-mails of information- and a couple pictures.

For the 1st time I actually have a Maury show/Oprah story!

we found out that we were all told different things by the 'evil step mom'. The step-mom wouldnt tell us where the sisters were and she wouldnt tell the sisters where the brother was. she told us and them, that non of us wanted contact with the other. They had been searching for my dad for years anyhow. Our new Aunt Pat has taken us in as if we were her own kids! wow-

and after the terrible bad week I had last week - wow

was really funny.
