It's time for the Medallion Hunt! The first clue will appear on PioneerPlanet just after midnight Saturday, Jan. 22. Come back here to compare notes with other treasure seekers, but be certain you read the rules on the Planet's Winter Carnival page.
CheRory
St. Polly--OR Longfellow Ave., which borders a narrow section of Battle Creek Park in front of Battle Creek Elementary. Near the St. Paul/Maplewood city limits, perhaps the need to be discerning?
Alright enough about this crap its at Newell Park. The 9 5 and somewhere a 4 refers to the ks95 radio tower seen there. The sometimes a 4 part is the radios station 94.5.
Ok everyone!!!! I AM SORRY!!! I said "locations". Whats a litlle ol' "c" missing going to hurt? At least we know now people are paying attention to what they read!
I have a friend who was thinking Rice Park because it had never been there before, but I just don't see it. With all those lights in the trees, I think it would be a very bad idea to have people out there swinging sharp metal objects.
so what park do you think is in the running if it's never been there before? Bubba, Right now i would get sleep and wait till this weekend, i highly doubt anyone will even come close to the thing at this time
ok something old but new well its hasnt been there since 1984 so it would be new if it was there. Iconoclasts refers to highlanders which means it could just be from high land and if you go in certain locations you can look down and see midway stadium.
Someone said there was a 4 at the entrance to newell park, but i was scouting last night and dint see it...anyone know where this is, or if its really there?
As for the Rice Park Theory, it is no good. Although it is bordered by 4th and 5th street (the magic numbers) there are ice sculptures and carvers everywhere. Bad bad place for medallion.
please anybody, I don't care if its not at Newell but that's where I'm diggin' can someone please give me some specific directions?? like street names and stuff.

Okay, bye everybody! See you at HP tonight! (<--bundled in green parka, glasses, black knit cap, probably falling face first into the snow a few times...)
I think this just plain BLOWS. I can't begin to imagine where the hell the stupid thing is but... I DID have a dream that I found it last night (seriously!) lol So I hope that is a sign!! (yeah right!)
I think it could be at a few parks no clue ideas narrow it down for me, however, i dont see newell as a choice. the clue writers are some VERY smart dudes, they did it to trick you, especially since they wouldnt spell out where it was in such an early clue. They usually come close to doing that at around clue #11
Otto Hummer is a gentleman that lived and volunteered in the Highland area. When the street was put in for the pool and the police station it was named in his honor.

think it's in a park that it's never been in before - why not - it's 10k this year - something new - new park maybe??
REMEMBER WHEN IT WAS AT COMO ONE OF THE CLUES WAS SCORE = MORE THAN TWENTY.
if you had to go look right now which park would all of u goto...one word answer
Studying the past(previous park sites) can be quite a blast But there is value as well in the new(a park that has never been used)
tonights clue may narrow it down a liitle, clue #6 is usually a darn good clue

ALL I WANT TO DO IS DIG. Ya think any of you could tell me how to get to Newell???
Alright Mr. Rock, can you fit Newell to all five clues instead of just one?
its a new park
so what park do you think is in the running if it's never been there before? Bubba, Right now i would get sleep and wait till this weekend, i highly doubt anyone will even come close to the thing at this time
Bubba...bite me
Boss, that fits in with my theory that it may be on Highland Park public school grounds.
newell is near midway stadium
Anybody find anything ever about Otto Hummer. Street by Highland?
I found "Otto Hummer--first Park District President Administration" in Illinois. Anybody know anything else? Oh, in the 50s.

Erik...the four by the entrance at Newell is a Speed Limit 40 sign
Thank you Irish, I was wondering about that theory.
No good.

How about I'll take the 10K so you all can stop worrying about the clues?? - Sounds like a plan to me?
Okay, bye everybody! See you at HP tonight! (<--bundled in green parka, glasses, black knit cap, probably falling face first into the snow a few times...)
krazie girl, my driveway needs shoveling if all you want to do is dig, ill even throw in 20 bucks if you do a good job.
My guess it's either at in specific order
1.Newell Park
2.Highland Park
3.Rice Park
I think this just plain BLOWS. I can't begin to imagine where the hell the stupid thing is but... I DID have a dream that I found it last night (seriously!) lol So I hope that is a sign!! (yeah right!)
Newell is on the corner of the Pierce Butler Route and Fairview Ave. Where are you coming from Krayzie Girl?
No problem st. polly, hey I was curious enough to check it out myself last night

Crazy Girl--Take snelling avenue to Pierce Butler Route. Take that west for a couple of blocks and Newell will be on your left.
