Where has Spike been?

I love it!

Is that a picture of it?

If so, where'd you get the cool spike?

The photo is one I found on the internet. The actual spike that I have looks similar, except:

  • it's rusty
  • it's 2" long
  • it has the number 24 embossed on the head

where'd you get the cool spike?

I don't remember. It's been in my "treasure" box for years. Should I use it? Paint it? Clean it? or, something different?

You found a spike sexy? It is sort of phallic, I guess.

Anyway, Scribe did my hair last night, it's bleachier and spikier than ever.

Spike was kidnapped and taken to Wisconsin. He was rescued by The Lil Otter, who took him camping last weekend, and then he hitched a ride home with towlebooth. ... to be continued ...

Well, I have an older version for the Palm III....

It was OK, but I really disliked the RandMcNally software. It was only good for navigating roads since there was no easy Lat/Lon interface, only street addresses. And when you got to the edge of whatever streetmap you had loaded, if you didn't return to the map in less than a minute, the software helpfully turned the GPS off for you.....

I also don't know about the computing power of the newer Palm's and what tasks the GPS offloads on the Palm, but on my IIIxe unit, the map refreshes were really slow and position updates always seemed to be lagging.

I myself switched to a plain yellow eTrex to lug along with my Palm, and I'm happy. Now I can be looking at the cache info page on my Palm while I'm looking at the GPS pointing in the opposite direction from where the cache cctually is....

while I'm looking at the GPS pointing in the opposite direction from where the cache actually is....

No kidding!! Mine does that too, it is a real pain just as you are getting close.

Thanks Ian. I saw that add on and thought it a cool idea, but was reluctant, thinking it looked cooler than it actually was.
