Although this person should have been ignored and forgotten, (s)he lives on ...

the legend of joe:
once upon a time the old pioneer press water cooler had a pain in the ass poster who went by the name of joe medallion. ol' joe would post meaningless single character posts as the posts came close to numbers ending in 0. occasionally, he'd miss one, but when he actually got it he'd proudly proclaim: JOE!!
so, now in honor of him, whenever any of us hits a post ending in a 0, whether intentional or not, we claim them as joe's. some people have their special joe. whether its the last two digits of their birth year, or their age or some such thing. joe has kind of become a part of cooler crew tradition.
i take back what i said. when he got one, he'd just say "i am #700" or "i am #1200. i was also #700." we just adopted his name and now call them joe's.
THX 1138:
And that boys and girls, is the story of the JOE!
Does anyone *really* know who Joe is???
no, but if he's PIE, he came to the Re-Hash Bash in 1999, stood and watched. Creepy guy

Really? That is creepy. How did you know he was there? Why didn't he come say hello?
Freak!
Kinda hazy memory...Terry or Green might remember. There was some general description known or given. A few of us were kinda waiting to see if he'd show. Parked down by the street. Maybe he came up for a bit, but didn't talk.
There was a creepy person that showed at the Conway rehash bash - but I don't think it was Pie. Wish was the handle he used as I remember - though he had changed it a few times. Little pipsqueak of a kid. Definately special needs - probably due to some mental health issues.
Believe me. If I saw him again, I'd know it. He's not you! Hehehehehe
I claim 'JOE' cause its a sexy sounding name :)
Yes, I'd concur that the person at Conway was "Wish", not "Pie". Those two definitely had different personalities and each had their own set of problems. I actually know who Wish was, what his real name was, who he was related to and such. Pie was a bit more secretive. If Pie ever came back under another name, I never picked them out.
Maybe he will come back as 'apple pie' or, ooooh, 'cherry pie' ;)
or Joe Pie! jp for short
or "I wish I were JOE'

Cool bug! Found this 4-leaf clover medallion the day after St. Patrick's Day. Had I known the symbolism attached I would have gone out there yesterday!

I have to admit, I do not understand the legend of Joe as described above. I read it a couple of times and it doesn't make any sense to me.
I also don't know what a Cooler Crew is, and the website link above is broken. So I guess I'm lost as to where I should drop this bug off next.
Hints?
I am missing AGAIN!??
