It's time for the Medallion Hunt! The first clue will appear on PioneerPlanet just after midnight Saturday, Jan. 22. Come back here to compare notes with other treasure seekers, but be certain you read the rules on the Planet's Winter Carnival page.

Wondering about that valuable sign too, Chris. Could it be a dollar sign on a billboard below the hill? Lots of billboards down on, is it Jefferson? Will be difficult to
tell today with the haze. Maybe when the sun gets higher it'll be worth a look. The trees are gorgeous, that's for sure - can't think of a better day to be out in *any*
Didnt look hardcore at CP, had the doggie with me, and she didnt wanna look for a medallion. Other than that Ive been at home, I had finals this week and didnt
I dont think there are icons...I think that clue relates to oposing traditional ways .. so out with the old and in with the new....so it may be at a park that it was never at

The Pioneer Planet folks took them away, hopefully temporarily. They weren't sure what was causing all the crashes, so they pretty much stipped the place bare.
There is a notice at the top of this page that tells about what they're doing to address the technical issues.
We all know it wasn't the icons that were causing the crashes. They are saved to your cache, and they load from there, not from the server. But, I guess it'll take
some experimenting before they figure it out for themselves.
MushieW---Although Linwood is a small park, there is a lot of places to park your car. There are also hills and many people were there yesterday. (about 20-30) I
also am going to Merrimam Park today. Are there hills there? Do you know where any 954 numbers are? I hear the library and Rec. Center are near, This all makes
Any thoughts on "iconoclast" referring to the vessel holding the Med? I picture that it will be found embedded in a plaster statue depicting a...CHUNK OF
I'll be back at Linwood and Newell for sure. Also want to check out some ideas people have been tossing out about Merriam, Prosperity and the Capitol Mall, but
I'm not real hot about the latter two spots...yet!
yes there are hills to slide...I think the line of trees is the soo line rairoad....using the word line....hwy 94 runs by there but not sure on the 9,5,4 thing....keep thinking
Bandit: I *am* going to try to sleep for a bit. Cruising on about 3 hours a night this week!!! Will try to head out there around noon - and I'd be there around 12:30.
Can't promise for absolutely sure, cuz I'm waiting on a phone call that could change the order in which I do things today. :)
jimt------I got the phone nimber thing from someone who wrote yesterday. I wasn't sure if it was right. I AM SURE on everything else. I made two phone calls just
minutes ago.

Bandit: Maybe I'll see you there, then. I'll be wearing a red jacket; I have long blonde hair. And I'm old, compared to you (45)!!! I'll try to remember to wear
something white tied around my sleeve, which is supposed to be the Cooler "signal" to each other. Last night I left without something white, had no digging
implements in my car, and left the clues on the kitchen table - this is *not* good!
PABLO---Thank you for the comment. I wouldn't yell but when you deal with people like jimt, it's hard not to. He is just trying to screw people up!!!!!
OK! If I talk to any others who are going there, I'll tell them to look for you. Terry and Inks are pretty hot for Newell. Pat P. hasn't posted since the "well" and
"new" clue was published, so I think he's catatonic somewhere at Newell as well!!
Anyone look at clue #6. The famous name could be Homer. The second line says you find his name in many a tome(large book). Homer wrote large books The last
line refers to bring the treasure home as in Homer. There is a Homer st that runs right into highland park think about it
MushieW---I still haven't ruled out Merriam Park yet. It is still a very good possibility. It is just JIMT'S comments that make me and others think differently. I
WILDCATS---I can't believe it!!! I am looking through a book of Homer's poem the *IIAD* that was on the net and in the first half, it talks about the Greeks being
outruled by the HIGHLANDERS!!! IN 143 AD. I may also have to check out Highland this afternoon, what do you think??????????????
MushieW---I am going to the parks soon and looking for things that might help solve clue 7. As of now, I think that it is a very good clue, but am unsure. :(

If you click on a person's name, you can see their icon "behind" it.

You going out hunting today, Bandit?
Where's Linwood?
Chris: Great idea about it being embedded in a plaster statue - maybe of St. Francis, the name the first letters of each clue seem to be spelling???

HEDGE: A row of closely planted shrubbs or growing trees forming a fence or boundary.
Bandit: What time are you going to Newell? I have to leave Newell by about 2:15PM to be somewhere.
I JUST CHECKED WITH AT&T "00" INFO. and Merriam IS NOT private property!! It is a public St. Paul Park. I AM HEADING TO LINWOOD SOON,
AND THEN MERRIAM PARK. ---There were so many people at Linwood yesterday. Also, MushieW, I will think about 954 and may come up with something
soon. I will keep you posted!!!!!

Clue #6 gives it all away you just have to know the area of st paul well And look at clue very carefully
Merriam is a Saint Paul owned piece of land.
I'll be there sometime close to 11am

A nine and a five and somewhere a 4: Address: 459 or 954. 954 may be too obvious. Trees in a line. Linwood....
Hope you get it dudes and dudettes. Hey is Downtown Dave there? Mo, I like your style. I agree. Quit the yelling,
man.... It's only a game. I can hear you from here!
Bandit: Maybe I'll see you there, then. I'll be wearing a red jacket; I have long blonde hair. And I'm old, compared to you (45)!!! I'll try to remember to wear

Hedge as in the very similar sounding Edg-cumbe as in the street?
Hmmm well if you *do* make it out there, I'll be in a high visability orange stocking cap, with a white sock around my left arm.
Thanks MO....I will be thinking and waiting and looking!!!

MushieW---I am going to the parks soon and looking for things that might help solve clue 7. As of now, I think that it is a very good clue, but am unsure. :(
