Are these member only caches?

King Boreas aka Ian

nope

I'm assuming the way it moves is a clue to how you decipher it?

I'm also guessing, no one has found this cache yet...

I'm not even sure it is a number, might be just instructions on how to change the posted coordinates...

Okay why is this one a difficulty 3.5 and spectrum is a difficulty 4.5?

Spectrum has been found more times now than this one...

well I still haven't solved any of these three, but I did solve three other ones this guy put out (basically answer questions, do some math, get coordinates though), working on the 4th one, should have it done tomorrow. Then I'll get these ones cracked.

Must, Solve, My Dear Watson...

Did anyone notice only two people have solved this one yet? And more amazingly, the difficulty level for this one is lower than a spoken crocodile or spectrum..

I don't even know where to start on this one....

the color sequence matches on each line, so that the right side of the second line could be attached to the left side of the first, and so on, so that you'd end up with on continous line...

Not sure if that helps or not.

shoot, now I'm not the 3rd to find this one, I don't even have it deciphered yet, last guy said it litterally took days to do.

I don't have the patience for these.

I look at em for a few minutes and say "Screw this!".

Shoot! I solved the Mr. Morris one, sent my answer to R.J. to check it, and he said someone's already out looking, so I check the cache again, sure enough, rickrich got this one too.

Guess I'm too slow for the FTFs, odd on a puzzle cache though, you'd think with the randomness of them, and that not everyone would be good at solving them all, a lot of different people would be gettin FTFs on em.

Oh well, putting it on my Saturday to do list. It's actually not hard at all, just get a copy of the morse code and pen and paper, bout an hour and you'll have it, maybe less if yer lucky.

Damn, you're really impatient.

Actually, now that there are a wave of these puzzle caches coming out, I'm kinda gettin tired of doing them. After I solve this one, I'm gonna leave the rest for a while, maybe come back to them in the summer, besides they're all on the west side of the river, not the area I need to concentrate on right now.

They're fun and all, but I'd rather there was just a wave of them at a time that I could get done, then not have any for a while again. And unless some start popping up on this side of the river, there's no way I'll be getting a FTF on one anytime in the near future.

That being said, I'll still plan on doing mine, just as a bit of a payback for all the ones I've done.

I cracked this one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Finally... only took a month of tinkering when I had a spare moment.

I gave up and figured i'd wait until I have forced to figure it out once its in my radius of unfinds....

Fri, 04/09/2004 - 3:12 PM Permalink
KC0GRN

Actually guess I can't say I did it completely unaided, but close, FSU*noles clued me in to what I should be looking for.

There's a clue in the "My Dear Watson", and rickrich gave a clue in his log for the find, which is basically the same thing.

Now that I look back on it, if I had adjusted my thought pattern a while ago, this one wouldn't have been that hard.

elements? my dear watson??

I think I know what your refering to but I really don't want to start driving myslf nuts to find the answer and then wind up loosing the cords because its on the other side of town and will forget to write it down...

there's only one answer that gets you in a park though, that link you gave me for mapquest lat/long coordinates has really come in handy for verifing puzzle coords.
