If by some chance they didn't do that (big chance) then, yes you can watch tv for free. The problem nowadays is it costs you more to have internet with Comcast and no basic cable then it does just have the basic cable and internet.
Good point, we have the basic Cable hook up even though we don't use it just because it saves us more money on our internet bill than it costs. For TV we have DirectTV and love it. Gotta have the Comcast internet though, or I'd never be able to keep up with the posts in here.

I love it but it's quirks are a pain. Other than the mute problem it also has a real hard time distinguishing first run programs for repeats. And it doesn't allow you to just tape the 10:00 news for example without it making you tape the 2:00 repeat too. Unless you actually go in and delete each repeat program first. I can always just manually set it up to tape every night from 10:00 to 10:35 no matter whats on but I'm screwed if there's a late game.
Oh well, wrong thread. Plus I know that being only the 1st generation 2 tuner, it'll have many quirks that will need to be worked through until the next version is released my Motorola. Thanks for checking into the mute thing OTS.
Just got Mr. Med Hunter's book in the mail. It is simply awesome. I'm flipping through it now. What a piece of work!!! Man, oh man, did Jesse put some work into this.
we get basic 1 and 3 for $20 right now -unfortunately we pay for 1 remote and 1 box - I think we are gonna get rid of the remote- they charge us every month for it - the guy NEVEr told me that we would be charged for it-he just left it here with the box.

2nd funny (oooops): Whitney was right here and she saw Scribes monkey and the "for dummies" book (note she just gave her dad a Stop Smoking for Dummies book for Christmas) ...she walks away and THEN I look at the fine print "the fun and easy way...whacking   ----aaaaaah good think she knows nothing!
