Submitted by Casey Trauer on

It's time for the Medallion Hunt! The first clue will appear on PioneerPlanet just after midnight Saturday, Jan. 22. Come back here to compare notes with other treasure seekers, but be certain you read the rules on the Planet's Winter Carnival page.

I'm not sure what you're aiming at Regal (if I may call you that).

yeah, I understand the Woodrow wilson theory and it makes total sense, but i you take 7 as- Think of first trees in a line, and think of clue 4 being clear. 4 trees in a

line and take the baseball and basketball theories. and line them up w/ four trees somewhere to get the point it's at??

At Highland, Highway 5 goes along it...There was a historical school there that used to be called school #9, and one of the bus routes for highland, and snelling is

#4..and either 5 or 9 also is a bus route going through Highland

OK JUST A THOUGHT HOW ABOUT THE 954 HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH 94?

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 3:22 AM Permalink
Allison Wonderland

I'm not sure I followed that, but it sounds like a stretch.

I don't know, see all of you tomorrow, have to catch a 3 hour nap before school tomorrow. Goodluck

954 is in reference to hwy 94 and 5

94 and Minnehaha Ave as 5 is a popular explanation, but it doesn't seem right to me as those numbers don't keep score or adorn front doors. Bus routes don't

adorn front doors either so I'm not sure about that.

Allison: Most of the clues are pointing to mainly the south side.. Did you notice if addresses on Conway Ave where on the 2000 block (Score=20)?

3m has a building numbered504 on my map

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 3:28 AM Permalink
Kristine Harris

ok.....you got the red (the 3m sign) you got the history (wilson) you got iconoclast (conway) a line of trees that leads to a sign (the parks sign) the library the

illuminated peaks (sunray center) the water up high ( the water tower on the hill)

I agree that its at Conway as I can fit all the clues to it. In fact every clue seems to snap very neatly in place except the 9-5-4 clue. None of the explanations I've

heard so far seem as right as the explanations for all the other clues. Maybe I'm wrong, or just asking too much, but I don't think that clue has actually been solved

yet and I'm hoping it may point out the spot to dig.

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 3:28 AM Permalink
Kristine Harris

I am sure it is there..right across the street from my house but I have no idea where to search...

Jason Kluenenberg

Ok...lets think a bit here...maybe the 954 has to do with something that adorns a door like the clue, right?. Adorn means to decorate basically. Maybe its reffering to

2 things something about a decoration for the door, and something to do with sports. like my baseball theory.

last year I froze my butt off and went right passed the darn thing..

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 3:30 AM Permalink
Allison Wonderland

Actually history is Hudson (a man of fame with a useful name, Hudson Guides are very useful) trees in a line is WOOD ROW (Wilson), but I never heard of

Conway coming from iconoclast.

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 3:31 AM Permalink
Kristine Harris

the address on the community center was like 2005 I believe

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 3:31 AM Permalink
Kristine Harris

I figured might be far fetched but iconoclast is like a rebel or a person the goes against beliefs so I figured maybe like CON WAY...:)

Jason Kluenenberg

I think we need to find a useful Anagram, cause last year it had 2 of them

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 3:33 AM Permalink
Kristine Harris

anyone know what the address to the library is?

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 3:34 AM Permalink
gordon c

according to my map building 504 is in the area of conway park . maybe 3m has another building 594 close to it. they try to number them close together

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 3:34 AM Permalink
Jason Kluenenberg

Is there a church anywhere near Conway?

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 3:34 AM Permalink
Allison Wonderland

Actually the community center was 2090. I did notice the 2000 block and I did think perhaps score meant an address starting with 2-0. I went to 2095 with the idea

that 2094 was somewhere across the street and dug up a good section there, but to no avail. Now I'm wondering if this whole clue refers to something not at the

park at all, but something like a famous building that would suggest something in the park.

Does Wilson Ave run along Conway park??

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 3:36 AM Permalink
Allison Wonderland

The library was 2105. I thought about 3M addresses, but they seem a bit far away. I don't recall seeing a church.

Were you two at Conway? How does the water tower fit at Conway?

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 3:36 AM Permalink
gordon c

take it my 504 clue means nothing

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 3:36 AM Permalink
Allison Wonderland

Wilson is the southern edge of the park.

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 3:36 AM Permalink
AllieGo

I'm stll at Highland, but I could be wrong.

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 3:37 AM Permalink
Allison Wonderland

Its kind of hard to fit the water tower at Conway considering its so frickin big!

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 3:37 AM Permalink
Allison Wonderland

I really believe Highland is wrong because for a park that size, I think they would have identified it by now. Its usually only with little parks that they play these cat

and mouse games.

Buildings on Wilson: Heritage and Brady House Apts...Any body come up with an anogram with those? The word Treasure has been used three times.. What's up

with that?

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 3:39 AM Permalink
Jason Kluenenberg

For some reason now I'm thinking of maybe theres a banner stating some scores from some game on a front door...Who knows..it could be anything.

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 3:39 AM Permalink
gordon c

3m numbers each of thier buildings with a number. it isnt an address. it is building number 504. the reason i know that is because i have a map with all the 3m building

numbers. NOT 3M BUILDING ADDRESSES.

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 3:39 AM Permalink

Good point. Funny.

Jason Kluenenberg

Anyone know that Anagram sight again?

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 3:42 AM Permalink
Allison Wonderland

I'm sorry I wasn't clearer. I did know that. I used to have to send couriers over there sometimes. I called them addresses for lack of a better term. But if there was a

building with that number, I don't know if that would necessarily bring 3M to mind for most people.

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 3:42 AM Permalink
Allison Wonderland

I wonder what the address of the Brady house was in "The Brady Bunch"?

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 3:43 AM Permalink
Jason Kluenenberg

This is very troubling.

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 3:44 AM Permalink

true .i only wanted to mention it a couple times because the place i work for has a contract with 3m. i just pulled the map out a couple minutes ago, and i thought it

was the smartest thing ive said all night.

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 3:45 AM Permalink
Allison Wonderland

Don't worry Gordon. I didn't have much of anything interesting to say last year. It just takes a while to get the hang of it.

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 3:47 AM Permalink

im still with highland because i live there and i go for the underdog most of the time. thats one of the reasons i lost my bet on the superbowl
