Rock...What about the sliding hill...you can not see that from highland area on Snelling and Montreal....the hill is all the way over on highland parkway (other side of

golf course)

ME TOO I was scared to death!!!

The red object is the 3M sign: I thought it was at Newell this weekend, but I think everything points to Conway now, for sure. I

dont think its at highland cuz of the NEW and old hint, the red sign, NO golf, and numbers. Im pretty set on Conway, inside a

baseball.

Starbury, you're a genius. I've been with this way of thinking all along.....

I'm guessing there is a Anagram somewhere in here, anyone pick one up?

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 5:26 PM Permalink
Digger Bart

Why is everyone stuck on St Francis...this writer has never used an annagram before?....only the first letters from each clue...

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 5:26 PM Permalink

starbury, you deserve to find it, but i wont feel too terribly bad if im the one that does

starburry makes total sense but I think a baseball is too small, must be a softball

Starbury's got the clue

Round and white and streched tight...

I'm thinking it's in a baseball that's been cut open so the medallion barely sticks out of it...ahh the wonders of tape

Hi all... first off St. Francis is not the St. who you pray to lost things for ... it is St. Anthony.... the letters to the beginning of the clues are not spelling St. Francis

anymore because clue 9 starts with a K.... I was totally sold on Merriam but now I believe Conway...was there yesterday and today... it all fits.... :)

THX 1138

Digger Bart-Rock brought up St. Francis in saying that the first letter of all the clues and unscramble them it spells saint fra---s and also he has three clues left to fill

the ---. I think The Rock said there is a St. Francis street or something. How did that go Rock if your still out there it was very cleaver!! But I'm still thinking

Conway.

I think the 9-5-4 has something to do with a baseball scoreboard...9 innings, 5 numbers in a full count, and 4 bases

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 5:44 PM Permalink
MushieW

this web crossing thing is driving me nuts! aaaggghhh!!! I think 9,5,4 will be explained in new clues but it could mean, 9 baseball players, 5 basketball p., 4 tennis

doubles, or hwy 94 and hwy 5 close to Conway....or "I don't know yet" which is the one I think mostly!! hahahaha!!

does anybody know why everyone thinks its at conway????

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 5:45 PM Permalink

starbury, i think you're right about 9 5 4 relating to certain sports, 9 players in baseball, 5 players in basketball, 4 players in tennis. Does conway have a tennis court?

think the st francis thing was just to confuse everyone.at first i though it would say saints field for newell, the saint francis for highland but todays clue

started with a k. DAMN THIS GUY IS GOOD. Either Highland or Conway. i like this woodrow thing how do the other clues go with it?

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 5:46 PM Permalink
No user inform…

To the Great Randini, If it is not Conway well then they have us fooled. All seems to point to there from Woodrow Wilson to Babe Ruth. Only confusion is 954. But

thats anybodys guess. What do you think? And yes Web Cross Off is A PAIN.

You want Conway? I'll give you Conway.

#1- I believe now the golf courses are actually irrelevant though Conway does have som "No Golfing" signs.

#2- Conway has a sledding hill on the far east side that slopes down to the houses on Howard St.

#3- Numbers keep score and adorn the front door- Conway is on the 2020 block. The 9,5,4 would be I-94 and Minnehaha Ave (5). Conway is the only park

between those two on the 2020 block.

#4- The treasure has never been in Conway before. Thus it would be new to those who have studied past hunts.

#5- For those with a yearning for learning, they can visit the library that is actually on the park grounds.

#6- A man of fame with a useful name is Henry Hudson (Hudson Guide). Old Hudson Rd. is one block south of Conway Park.

#7- Trees in a line = WOOD ROW as in Woodrow Wilson. Wilson Ave. is the southern border of the park.

#8- There are two translucent peaks at SunRay shopping center and one on the rec center itself. Take your pick as to which you prefer.

#9- There is a very large water tower on the other side of Wilson Ave on McKnight that is visible in most of the park. Behind it, the large red 3M sign looms high in

the sky.

Any questions?

Im not sure if it does, If I remember right, it would. I havent been down there yet though because I dont have a ride:( Ill try to get there 2morrow, so NO ONE

FIND IT PLEASE!

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 5:48 PM Permalink
MushieW

I agree with you completely Allison...I came up with that too... and also "score" is 20 years....the key being 20.... remember Abe Lincoln's speach...4 score and 7

yrs ago? a score means 20 also... not just sports related.... whatcha think?? :)

I live across the street from Conway, holy people man! I just got home from work and couldn't even drive down the street! Gonna' put on the boots soon, it HAS to

be out there! By the way, who was the dork that posted the phony message about someone finding it?

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 5:51 PM Permalink
ani

conway has a tennis court but it also has a baseball field with the #4 on the backstop. the backstop is at the corner of the park where there is a scoreboard (#'s keep

score) and also a sign as if to be the entrance to the park (adorning the door to the park). the clue also states "somewhere a four"...the #4 on the backstop is hard to

see because there is a big tree right behind the backstop

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 5:52 PM Permalink
Allison Wonderland

Yes MushieW, that's where I got the idea for 2020. One score is 20. Keeping score could be 2020. And when I saw the sign at the corner of Ruth and Conway

with 2020 on it, I finally figured it out.

how do u get to Conway?

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 5:55 PM Permalink
Jackie Martin

Okay here is my whole DUMB theory on the 459 thing. There are 2 ballfield backstops on Ruth, 4 and 5. How many people play baseball= 9. Other theory, I

looked last night at the position numbers of the players on the field (1 is pitcher, 2 catcher, 3 first base etc.) Position #4 is second base, #5 is third base and #9 is

right field. So I dug up second, third and right field on those two fields. Obviously I found nothing! This is just what I have been trying to put together on this part of

the clues, I think this is the stumper!

Allison, I've been reading your ideas for a few days now, Here it is 9 big tires, fivethink BB, and new idea, true value store down st. from a corner.Maybe??

At Conway when you are standing in the middle of the four baseball diamonds starting at the library and following Wilson Street you will find 9 trees in a row running

up to Ruth Street as you follow Ruth Street down to backstop #4 you will count 5 trees. 4 meaning the number of baseball diamonds or backstop #4.

If you take 94 to Ruth St. and go north, its a little over a block away.

Northwest (orient) the old, flys the Snelling corridor in red planes to the north/south runway approach. That is the red in the SKY.

one clue says "keep out an eye" as opposed to keep and eye out.....we thought this may refer to a do not enter sign. we found one last night but no luck
