Hahaha! I could uae one of those cooler thongs now. I'm late getting to the park because I have no clean undies, and I had to try to remember how to work the washer.
Not even on there from the ones I've seen! I've folded my daughters' underwear. ;) No front side, no back side. Just a bottom side. And not much of that.
Can't you just break up branches from downed trees? I understand there are lots of them there. And who know? Maybe you'll find a surprise in one of those branches. :)

The coolercrew.com site was the first. I don't know that it makes it the "official" site or not, but it has the most history for those of us who helped name it and brought people together face to face in 1998.
The Pioneer Press hosted that site free to us for a number of years. It was only after they switched formats and stopped using webcrossing for their discussion boards that they dropped the site.
After some fooling around, they helped us get the domain back and Greg Sax, the original webmaster turned over the web pages that now ares, Marley King and Artemis have webmastery access to for updating.
Did the earlier version of the paper state that there was an "official" site? My paper, bought this morning from the local C-store, just lists both sites - no "official" designation to either. Also, the twincities.com site doesn't designate "official" to either site.
They created "Zephy," a life-size cardboard cutout with a picture of Anderson's face pasted on. They clothed their Anderson stand-in in jeans and a jacket and, over the past week, have photographed their get-togethers and shenanigans. Now, they've posted their photos on the Crew's Web site at www.coolertimes.com.
When I first contact the PP this is the email I sent:
We in the Cooler Crew wanted Ma Press to know about a soldier who is a die hard hunter but whos serving as we speak. He's in Iraq right now but the Crew has gone out of it's way to keep him here with all of us in spirit and help keep his mind in a positive place while he serves our nation. Jasons Grandfather was the finder of the 1954 Treasure Chest so you can imagine how much he loves the hunt.
You can follow the links to visit Zeph and even see some of our pictures in the 2005 link on the left side of the page.
Right now there is a cardboard cutout of this guy traveling around the entire winter carnival and we just thought this might be a good story for the you all at the PP.
Please don't hesitate to contact me here day or night or you can call my cell phone 612-387-xxxx for more information.
Actually, if the paper wanted to be accurate - and how often does that really happen - they would have used the www.coolercrew.comsite address as that's where all the Zephy pictures are located and where it links from the coolertimes.
As for the article and who found Zeph first etc. After we got the call back from the reported Ma Press Steph talked him for an hour.
She went out of her way to make sure that he understood that this whole thing was completly a team effort. And that it should be all about Zeph. Then to make sure that nothing was missed Steph made sure the reported was able to speak to and get in touch with TC and Ares.
And if it matters, the quote he gave me is wrong too. He asked why were we persoanly doing this. I told him that "I knew what it was like to be deployed and it sucked. Anything we can do to keep his head in a better place then where he is will do wonders in bringing him home safe."
I never made a claim that I brought him over. Even on the news yesterday I said "we".
I understand that. I've been misquoted - or quoted out of context more than once in the press. It's the way it seems to work. They rework quotes just enough to make them incorrect often.Â
FWIW: I don't believe that OTS was trying to take anything away from anyone. The way I see it, he's just trying to do something nice and fun for a soldier serving in Iraq.
Hahahahahahahaha *sings the Thong Song*
Is there room on a thong to spell out Cooler Crew??

Wow... I'm sorry the article was so screwed up.
I told you this would catch on!!!
Hey... we could put a catchy phrase like... if U think the medallion is hidden here... GET A CLUE!!!
So-
Don't be lonely, come chill out by the fire- All are welcome, and bring wood if you can. Let's keep the fire burning at Crosby.
It's personal now.
Can't you just break up branches from downed trees? I understand there are lots of them there. And who know? Maybe you'll find a surprise in one of those branches. :)
They cut down some trees on the road into Battle Creek. Lots of nice logs laying there for the taking.Â

After the end of this years hunt I'm going to pull coolertimes. I don't want there to be anymore confusion over which site is the official site.
Hope they don't come out in a bundle, KT.
ROFLMBOPMPBBON OT!!!!!!!
OTS - Don't do that. They both offer different things.Â
Is there such a thing?? An official site? Ares has his site too. I don't see a problem. Besides, where would I hang out all day??
See ya!!
The coolercrew.com site was the first. I don't know that it makes it the "official" site or not, but it has the most history for those of us who helped name it and brought people together face to face in 1998.

Yeah, what Terry said. :)
Just got an email that states they are now writing tickets at Crosby for anyone not in a parking spot.Â
I suppose you're right. Maybe during the summer they have wood provided for the fire pits.
Or buy more underwear. :P
And now to the real queston...
Did the earlier version of the paper state that there was an "official" site? My paper, bought this morning from the local C-store, just lists both sites - no "official" designation to either. Also, the twincities.com site doesn't designate "official" to either site.
It says
They created "Zephy," a life-size cardboard cutout with a picture of Anderson's face pasted on. They clothed their Anderson stand-in in jeans and a jacket and, over the past week, have photographed their get-togethers and shenanigans. Now, they've posted their photos on the Crew's Web site at www.coolertimes.com.
And then at the bottom it says
To see pictures of Zephyrus out and about, go to www.coolertimes.com or www.coolercrew.com
I always assumed they worked hand in hand. Complementing each other.
My paper delivered to my door at 4:00 AM doesn't say anything about an "official" site.
The Zephy cam at coolertimes.com links back to the coolercrew.com site.Â
I do think the sites compliment each other.Â

Hello Cooler Crew from the Reader Advocate at the "Ma Press."
Just want you to know that your message was received and forwarded to the appropriate editor.
But mostly, I wanted you to know how much I enjoyed looking over your website. Nice job.
Good luck with the hunt.- Kathy H.
Actually, if the paper wanted to be accurate - and how often does that really happen - they would have used the www.coolercrew.comsite address as that's where all the Zephy pictures are located and where it links from the coolertimes.
I don't see this as any big issue.Â
As for the article and who found Zeph first etc. After we got the call back from the reported Ma Press Steph talked him for an hour.

I agree, THX. And on that note, I think I'm going to go out and find me some firewood. ;)
