It says we have to be "astute" or "cunning" with the clues this year. I think they will be tricky. Alot of you are looking WAY too far into these early clues....in my opinion.

BIRDIE:I was thinking that it was a park with a golf course, but that the PP folks didn't want searchers on the course.Proximity, but not on the course.I think that's a clue.

STEP DOGG:That's easy to do.I look for the thing every year, but am appalled at some of the clue explanations later.

Chase and pace both suggest running or moving fast.I think the two are germane somehow to the location.

"Chase" is also the barrel of a cannon.

But, IMO, in Clue #2, chase pertains and refers back to the first line, "Set your own pace and it could make you an ace."

After that line, all the rest of the clue is fill in to have a clue.

And, I *really* think rapscallion's vvveeerrry important. Much like, kind'a, in a way, like "iconoclast" last year.

Don't make to much out of the clues you clueless wonders!

If yall recall in the past, half the clues don't mean squat!

could the word ace be refering to a type of ace like a ace of diamonds??? maybe a baseball diamond?

Mon, 01/24/2000 - 5:58 PM Permalink
tim_the_hunter

Ace can mean any number of things really. So just keep it in mind when future clues come out. Until then we can just wait, and of course Over Analyze!

I wish I could be up ther with yall but I'm stuck in CRESTTED BUTTE for the next few days!

Might be up this weekend though!

I might have to come back as aaron neirdorf!

Remember last year when I got yall wound up after he found it!

Yall were going to go down to the PARADE and egg him!

I called it at CONWAY when there were only a handful of people there!

Remember not to read too much into the clues because an idiot wrote them!

Think like an idiot and yall will have a better chance of finding the stupid thing!!

I just wanted to say hi to all the searchers. I am relatively new to the TC and last year was my first year searching. My husband has had to put up with me for the last 12 months excitedly talking about this year's contest. It is great to see so many enthusiastic people excited like me.

if we have a rebellion, and a rapscallion, and an ace, with a chase (part of a gun) it would be simple if the cofederacy had a member who left that was a fighter pilot, but that didnt happen

P-ace A-ce C-hase spells pac, the vikings arch rivils. vikings mentioned in the first clue, maybe something meant with the letters.

Sheesh, WW! You've gone over the edge! You belong on the Vikings' Board! ROFLOLPMP!!! ;)

Welcome, Leelabell! Yes, you're in the rite place. This is "Hunt Fever Central," for sure! Don't ever feel strange (tho you really are, just like the rest o'us!) as you're in like company. None of us are really sane. Who can be? Doing what we do to ourselves for the thrill o'The Hunt and the excitement???

But we're safe crazies. Very benign. Good gods! The greater St. Paul area is populated with THOUSANDS of us! Izz this a GREAT place or what???

New Daddy... Your email duzunt work... :(
