It says we have to be "astute" or "cunning" with the clues this year. I think they will be tricky. Alot of you are looking WAY too far into these early clues....in my opinion.

I just wanted to say hi to all the searchers. I am relatively new to the TC and last year was my first year searching. My husband has had to put up with me for the last 12 months excitedly talking about this year's contest. It is great to see so many enthusiastic people excited like me.

STEP DOGG:That's easy to do.I look for the thing every year,but am appalled at some of the clue explanations later.
Chase and pace both suggest running or moving fast.I think the two are germane somehow to the location.

"Chase" is also the barrel of a cannon.
But, IMO, in Clue #2, chase pertains and refers back to the first line, "Set your own pace and it could make you an ace."
After that line, all the rest of the clue is fill in to have a clue.
And, I *really* think rapscallion's vvveeerrry important. Much like, kind'a, in a way, like "iconoclast" last year.

could the word ace be refering to a type of ace like a ace of diamonds??? maybe a baseball diamond?
Ace can mean any number of things really. So just keep it in mind when future clues come out. Until then we can just wait, and of course Over Analyze!
