I've been restless since 2 minutes after the last clue.

Men with a garter should have been smarter

Then to mix drink with their volcanic activity.

You would be wise to look for the prize

By taking up a child's proclivities

Too much innuendo in this clue. Has to be a fake.
Mon, 01/23/2006 - 9:26 PM Permalink
Terry

Whoever it was that said playground - that would also be my take on this.
Mon, 01/23/2006 - 9:27 PM Permalink
wolfpac

All that for a sliding hill? Sounds like Souch to me

The first two lines speak of the issues with the Vulcans last year.

The 2nd two lines, I believe, are the guts of this clue.
Mon, 01/23/2006 - 9:28 PM Permalink
King Boreas aka Ian

I think it should be vulcanic

Is this the clue or not
Mon, 01/23/2006 - 9:28 PM Permalink
barefootguy

At least it eliminates highland - no playground there.
Mon, 01/23/2006 - 9:28 PM Permalink
excavating stud

Good noodle.
Mon, 01/23/2006 - 9:30 PM Permalink
OT

Pretty vague. If playground is all they're giving us.
Mon, 01/23/2006 - 9:30 PM Permalink
Terry

Unless its sliding hill(s).
Mon, 01/23/2006 - 9:30 PM Permalink
excavating stud

I don't see this as pointing toward a playground.
Mon, 01/23/2006 - 9:31 PM Permalink
OT

These clues aren't as much fun as the past few years, if you ask me.
Mon, 01/23/2006 - 9:31 PM Permalink
diggin4it

FWIW - my take.... Definetly meaning playground
Mon, 01/23/2006 - 9:32 PM Permalink
excavating stud

You're probably right. It's just such a disappointing clue. :frown:
Mon, 01/23/2006 - 9:33 PM Permalink
Terry

Whichever way - it's something kids take a liking to do.

Perhaps it's referring to the ride area of Como?

Not that the medallion would be in the zoo area, but knowing it's there.

But we have at least a couple choices - playground and/or sliding hill(s).

That doesn't eliminate much if anything.

What time does the clue usually come out? Does someone down at the PP post it for us here, like Downtown Dave used to do?

Hello Mrs. KOP!

We have this as the clue:

Men with a garter should have been smarter

Than to mix drink with their volcanic activity.

You would be wise to look for the prize

By taking up a child's proclivities.

If it's different or the same, you can either verify it or type in the real one.
Mon, 01/23/2006 - 9:37 PM Permalink
diggin4it

Hi Mrs. - just type in as it reads
Mon, 01/23/2006 - 9:38 PM Permalink

I have a hard time believing that's the clue. Like why would they want to bring up an incident that gave the Winter Carnival a black eye?
