Park= park. Loot= medallion. Nut= medallion. Baddie= goodie. Prize= medallion.

Vulcanic activities=Last year's shameful shennanigans.

Child's proclivities= Play

Garter& Drink= ? Perhaps nothing but filler words.

that is all. I know it's probably all been said- this is just my angle.

Maybe the clue is saying that you'd be smarter if you didn't mix drinking with treasure hunting, and that it's in a park that doesn't allow alcohol. I know Cluemaster is going to hate that noodle :wink:

If you find the medallion in the park, you may want to erupt with joy. Although you probably wouldn't for fear of getting mobbed.

By taking up...

At first I was thinking that you would have to do what the kids do to find the prize, but that doesn't really make sense. Unless like Vino said, one crawls around.

However, you could think of the phrase "by taking up" as lifting. Maybe it is under something that kids use.

Taking up could mean UP=high=Highland :chagrin:

- simplicity tells me playground - I woke up thismorning thinking Central (clue 3 places me there) before I even read everyones Central ideas -funny.

HOWEVER, looking UP in a tree is just plain funny after last nights excursion-yah never know what you'll find when looking UP :wink:

Not a lot of thought has been spent on the merriem-webster defintion that proclivities are especially something objectionable. It would seem to jive with the first half of the clue... DONT do what the vulcs did that was wrong, DO do what kids do that is wrong.

I was convinced for a minute it was Harriet and then I remembered the rules.

Someone earlier said Mears park is the nearest park to Alery's (the bar where the Vulcans got into trouble last year). That's not true. The closest park is is new one called Wacouta Commons Park just down the street near 7th and Wacouta St. And get this the street over is called Temperance (defn: self-restraint, abstinence) which would have been a proclivity that would have kept those naughty Vulcans from getting into trouble.

This is a small park (half the size of Mears or Rice), but may be a sleeper if the clue writer wanted to be sneaky.

clues: every line after "global warming" is "t" and then "e", so "teteteter":teeter totter"? also, "drink" anagram "mix drink", is "Dr. Ink" any tatoo parlars around? Dr. Ink was also some kind of infamous journalist.

I think these are funner clues than last two years.

or "should have been smarter" implies there should be a school perhaps.

Highland was just re-done about as in a park face lift. When Phalen got cleaned up, it was hidden there, same thing with crosby. Only thing that makes me think about Highland is that the golf cources and parks are right to gether, no way of dividing the two up. Therefor we can not go onto golf courses, but at Highland we know people will be digging there.
