Almost anybody who makes music, or movies, or TV, or is just damn entertaining in the least bit...
Those waitresses, at restaurants, who spend all day, getting hasseled by unruly customers, and yelled at by crabby bosses, but still take the time to smile, and be friendly....
I'll probably list more, later on..... but this is a good start....
Axel Torgelson in his treehouse with Nurse Carmen was on everyday in the late afternoon when I was a little girl. We would see cartoons and Our Gang segments. He had a cat Talullah. All anyone ever saw of Talullah was her paw.
At Christmas, every year, Axel would have his Gramma Torgelson do her own version of "The Night Before Christmas". It was a tradition that I looked forward to long after I was old enough not to be terribly interested in the rest of the show.
For years as an adult I would remember that and wished I had a recording of that special version of that traditional Christmas story.
A few years ago, a very special Santa provided me a CD with the recording. I played it the year I got that for my sisters when they were here on Christmas Day. That was so much fun to watch their faces.
That show was back when television would start somewhere around 4 in the afternoon - give or take a few minutes.
the guy who invented the little device on the toaster that doesn't allow the lever to stay down if the toaster isn't plugged in. that thing is a life saver! there'd be nothing worse than putting the lever down only to have untoasted bread come up 45 seconds later.

Hopped upon my windowsill
Cocked a shining eye and says,
What did you do when she stole your milk -- shake?
A yellow bird
with a yellow bill
hopped up on
my window sill
I lured him
with a peice of bread
and then I smashed his
yellow head!
(Sorry Terry, old army cadence song)

The guy who first drank cow's milk.
The guy who was such a geek that figured out that "w" is the 6 letter in Hebrew and that WWW is 666 and the internet is the root of all evils.
