its not going to be googleable. its all done with query's as part of the get string instead of simulated folders.

here's the thing. when i originally put it all together i had urls like 1952 Pioneer Press Treasure Hunt. that worked great until i realized that google would search it. at that point i changed everything over so that the above was www.coolercrew.com/medallion.php/clues?year=1952. google stops at the ?, and an empty page is searched. same thing with the archive pages (which incidentally, the 98-2002 pages are currently googleable, since they are all static pages). www.coolercrew.com/archive.php/somefunction?thread, post, user ids, etc. so the end result is that the site is mostly un-googleable, hence the reason i have to create my own searching algorithms :smile:

I don't think we need any kind of disclaimer though since any of us can cut and paste any number of posts whenever we want.

if no one thinks its necessary to warn people that their posts will be archived then i guess we don't have to worry about it. i was just more concerned about a discussion i'd gotten into with lance back in the early days at pf about who owns the exlcusive rights to our posts. i say that regardless of that little copyright claim at the bottom of the page, the individual poster did, since there was nothing in the user agreement at pf, or here for that matter, conveying anything to the contrary.

but additional fees can be paid to create your own forum folders which don't restrict posting to paid members (these start at $30 US/month). (LITTLE SPENDY I THINK BUT WOULDA BEEN COOL LAST YEAR??) (I WONDER IF WE COULD DO A THREAD FOR JUST ONE MONTH--HEH)

I was going to pay for my entrance folder again but I'd rather pay for the CC folder instead as long as outsiders could be directed on how to get in here.
