Personally, I think we just leave it. If she wants it that badly, then she can pay for it. Clearly it would take a lot of Tim's time. We've asked so much of him already. Plus I don't feel inclined to pay for it. We've already had to give so much of our time and energy for being a moderator. We're not paid for this, and now in a sense someone is asking us to pay for something they want. I don't think peace of mind is worth $50-100. It would bother me doubly I guess that we'd be paying for it and bothering Tim with it. Tim has been more than wonderful, and I don't want to abuse his service and generosity.

Nevermind. I just got another egram from Tim Vasi. He said something along the lines that I would have to pay him a large sum of money for him to research this to the point of certainty. I asked him if the moderators asked him if they would charge you guys. But it really doesnt matter.

I still believe that this situation is bigger then it is being given credit for. I dont care what that message said. I just want to know where it went. That is not going against Redbear. It is solving the bigger issue.

Moving on is a good thing. I hope she and Tim not the sysop can do so without this bubbling back around now and again.

My only wish is that this wouldn't continue the great divide - not that I'm sure knowing would change that, but it might lay some of this to rest for the long term.

I don't think any of them understand how much time goes into baby-sitting their BS. Maybe we're making more of things than need to be but I for one am going to start taking a monetary look at things and not spending too much time on things.

I have to say it's amusing that Nick is talking about Shaggy coming back, but can't come back because it was jacked by someone and it caused so much trouble. Yet the person who jacked it is Nick himself. I'm fine with him posting nonsense like that. I won't respond to it in public.

Finally found that verbage. You know, the post numbers and order of this thread are so screwed up, trying to find anything or reading things in any sort of order is a lesson in futility.

To the moderators... I was just reading shoot the breeze and couldn't believe my eyes. Am I the only one who finds Wicked Nick's post about how someone "jacked the exodus name that has been associated with so much trouble" scandelous? I never understood why he was let back in in the first place, thought at the time it was a very bad judgement call. To allow this man to publically post as if he had nothing to do with the name being jacked and the trouble that insued is just downright offensive. What if it was your wife or sister who had to suffer the endless harrasment this man was responsibe for (remember folks that it is a proven fact that those messages did indeed come from Nick) Unless he is able to come up with concrete proof that he was not responsible for the actions he mentions in this post... I suggest that he not be able allude to the fact that he is the innocent party here. I hope I am not stepping on any toes as neither TMK or Coco are aware that I am writing this to you... I just feel so strongly that to allow a comment like his to stand is simply victimizing Elissa yet again and that is something I refuse to be party to.

I have mixed emotions about the post. It's sad that he continues to go on like this. It's somewhat comical too. And it does upset and anger me that he says stuff like that. I really want to post something in response to it, but I feel like I'm in a delicate position here as a moderator. So I keep my mouth shut. He wants to make himself out to be the victim when he is not the victim. I'm also curious as to what he's said to Steve about all this, granted if Steve is actually back friends with him and talking of going to AW's hunt party.

ya know there is a point in her message. he did it. we know it. and he's going on as though he didn't without exhonerating himself, and making us look bad in the process, as though we banned him for no reason.

it should be very interesting to see if he and steve both show up on sunday night!

I don't know if he's trying to start conflict by saying that. It is a bit disrespectful to say that Tim and ourselves were wrong about what happened. I'd say that if he wants to bring it up again that I'll address it with him.

Sounds like Kids wants to handle this if it arises again at a personal level.

The choices are:

1. Do nothing.

2. Delete the post.

3. Edit the post.

And then any of the above could include contacting Nick about why it was deleted or edited - or in the case of number 1, he could be warned.

and that's the question. was it meant to incite? we couldn't prove anything one way or another. was it a jab in our faces? probably, whether intentional or not.

but like i said it should be very interesting to see how shaggy reacts if he should happen to find out that nick is the one who "jacked" his name.

On the other hand, what is said is that the name Exodus was "jacked" and associated with so much trouble. There's nothing particularly inciteful in that statement though "jacked" could be construed as such. Very few people here don't know about the trouble. It seems more like stating a fact as opposed to being inciteful.

What I find more inciteful is that he says both he and his clown partner are showing up at Fern's and what time they will be there.

My memory is that Kids said he and Elissa would be attending.

For us knowing of the HRO, that seems more in your face and take this - HRO or not - I'm showing.

I really don't want to handle it personally, I'd rather it be handled in the best way possible. That's how Coco and I have tried to handle it in the past. I don't want to give him any reason to complain or turn things around, because that's what he'll do. If anything, I'd say that we will leave the post as it is, but perhaps giving him a warning that it's not appropriate or appreciated?

He didn't say how it was jacked - just that it was. We all know it was him that did that.

And there was trouble - nothing new or false about that statement.

I do understand where we could choose to see it as a bold faced lie, but in my opinion, he chose his words carefully to not accuse or to lie...but leave it open to interpretation.

What I'm saying, is that we need to be careful about how we interpret things - especially something we have been particularly close to.

I agree. Either he chose his words carefully to see if it did warrant a response or he was simply posting it without a thought. IMO There's nothing there to insight anything when taken at face value. Even if we feel that there obviously is.

If a similar post pops up we would then know that he did it on purpose and would need to act accordingly.

I have this feeling that Shaggy won't come Sunday for some reason or another. He'll be "posting" through Nick, but won't show in person. If he does, I'm sure that myself or Coco, or even TC if she wants, can have a talk with him and help him settle things about his name being jacked.
