the saints are poor excuse for a bar team...............its a city park.......i'm off to find it but if i had to make another guess it would be.............................Highland
haha! finally unstuck the ol' caps lock... i thinks its heavily leanin towards newell now.. strongly to phalen... everything else is NO GOOD... if a 'failin' clue comes up for #6 then it's Phalen... as far as newell they can wait on naming it till #8 or so...
Yes it was the Pioneer Press. And I know the paper was on the 14th, and the game wasn't until the 16th, but I'm sure they wrote the clue ahead of time and knew they would work the Vikings in somehow. Also, since they didn't know if the Vikings would win or lose ahead of time, its probably a bad idea to read too much into the word "depression".
I like the idea of butler its fresh idea..................but I think they are going to make hard this year............I still think that no one would have found it last year if it wasn't for a former vulcanus rex telling the guy who knocked up his daughter where it was so he could buy her a ring
Sorry tim, for now it seems I have the park to myself (hopefully not for a good reason, hehe). I want to make one more trip before I tell anyone. But I wonder if the proper explanation of clue 2 is that they're trying to tell you the clues will send you in a flase direction at first. If you want to be a (treasure hunting) ace, then be astute, don't follow the initial rush and set your own pace instead?
well it's time to go watch the "wheel" but just once more for the record Minneapolis is the cloudy and foul thing visable from the treasures resting spot...
maybe 'this' is an anagram for SHIT and relates to cloudy and foul...!!!! and 'these' is an anagram for sheet which Klan members wear.. so we're looking for a BROWN SHEET
Does anybody think that clue 5 is telling us what it is in or near. I mean it says "this simple truth might help you EXTRACT the prize" Here is the thesaurus look-up for extract:
Entry Word: extract
Function: verb
Text: 1 to draw out forcibly or with effort <extract a confession> <extracta tooth>
I think #5 is telling us what it is in not where it is located....the whole opposites attract thing makes me think magnet or something...but then again of course i could be way off course with that thinking
stepdogg... extract is literal.. extract the opposites from 'cloudy' and 'foul' both of which share 'fair' as antonyms... go figure... and the Fair sure does 'attract' people, even if your in a cloudy or foul mood too... ITS THE GREAT MINNESOTA GET-TOGETHER!!! (even tho i hate it)
don't think so because that would narrow down the parks way too much and i don't think they are going to make this easy for us this year with 10 G's on the line
so everyone in here thinks NEWELL again this year....I wasted far too much time there last year and the clues fit even BETTER than this year. Big NO on Newell.
medallion freak... $10,000 really isnt that much money to the PiPress... on top of our own incomes sure it's a chunk... even if the park was given away dead on halfway through the clues it could still go to the end date...
even tho they haven't give away the park yet....(or at least we think they haven't) I still think it is in a big park just because they want it to be tough... anyone else think the same?
I'm thinking Phalen. No real reason, just a gut thing. And at this point if you are in the right spot you could make all the clues fit if you wanted to.
I have a question for all of you that might be using aol.
Someone has been e-mailing me. Is registered here...but cannot post. The bottom of that person's page is the Pioneer Press/Water Cooler link. That person can't scroll down any further. Ideas anyone?
I never made a claim it was at Midway. I'm sure it isn't. I was just saying how someone might make the argument that a baseball park is a park.
ALISON... WAS IS A PIONEER PRESS ON THE BENCH?
Oh well Allison I thought you wouldn't believe it was there, but I wanted to make sure. I mean if it was a PARK I would agree with you but it isn't
Allison- please tell me where the bench was
the saints are poor excuse for a bar team...............its a city park.......i'm off to find it but if i had to make another guess it would be.............................Highland
so what parks is everyone agreeing on that it isn't in?
haha! finally unstuck the ol' caps lock... i thinks its heavily leanin towards newell now.. strongly to phalen... everything else is NO GOOD... if a 'failin' clue comes up for #6 then it's Phalen... as far as newell they can wait on naming it till #8 or so...

Most of us agree that it isn't at Midway Stadium
maybe they had written two clues for the first one depending on if the viks won or lost in this case lost
I like the idea of butler its fresh idea..................but I think they are going to make hard this year............I still think that no one would have found it last year if it wasn't for a former vulcanus rex telling the guy who knocked up his daughter where it was so he could buy her a ring
So is that really what happened or did someone find it fairly?

Well, I think you are correct Alison do your own thing and maybe it will come to you.
yes allison it does say THESE clues in #2 instead of the usual THIS clue... or this hint, etc...
Hey Allison, did you leave the paper there or take it w/ you
Nelly -- you in here?
so, what's the good word all??
maybe 'this' is an anagram for SHIT and relates to cloudy and foul...!!!! and 'these' is an anagram for sheet which Klan members wear.. so we're looking for a BROWN SHEET
are they giving away free trips tonight or is it just a drawing that you get entered into anyone know???
trips tonight drawings friday sat
what time is this at?
1130- 1230
I heard it from a reliable source................a very fishy situation.......so i think it its going to be very hush hush and hard this year
what is a very fishy situation?
Does anybody think that clue 5 is telling us what it is in or near. I mean it says "this simple truth might help you EXTRACT the prize" Here is the thesaurus look-up for extract:
Entry Word: extract
Function: verb
Text: 1 to draw out forcibly or with effort <extract a confession> <extracta tooth>
Synonyms evulse, pull, tear, yank
Anyone?
if it was hidden in a park near water don't you think it would of said that yet?
I think #5 is telling us what it is in not where it is located....the whole opposites attract thing makes me think magnet or something...but then again of course i could be way off course with that thinking

thinker, are you talkin about the vulcan thing from last year? i know the family and i had a gut feeling about that.
don't think so because that would narrow down the parks way too much and i don't think they are going to make this easy for us this year with 10 G's on the line
Hi Y'all. - Just signing in for the first time tonight. Allison - you still think NP??
is it true that someone gave away the answer last year???? i thought that was a rumor
"Fair is Foul, and Foul is Fair. Hover through the fog and filthy air." Any relation ya think
so everyone in here thinks NEWELL again this year....I wasted far too much time there last year and the clues fit even BETTER than this year. Big NO on Newell.

I don't think it is Newell so eveyone doesn't think it is
yes big park
It could be Step - but it's still way to early.
My Motto: Gotta WAIT till clue number EIGHT (Saturday Night)!!
Got it Wooohoooooo! Not the treasure! Was having problems with the link to post. Thank you Terry!
Big park for me, too. This clue writer is doin' one hell of a job this year.
I'm thinking Phalen. No real reason, just a gut thing. And at this point if you are in the right spot you could make all the clues fit if you wanted to.
still here thinker
Hello All!
I have a question for all of you that might be using aol.
Someone has been e-mailing me. Is registered here...but cannot post. The bottom of that person's page is the Pioneer Press/Water Cooler link. That person can't scroll down any further. Ideas anyone?
I am thinking it is a small park because if it was a big park they might of given it away by now
Make sure he's not on a Commodore 286 first.
