what could she see in a clown like ME???
It was a very sad yet very enjoyable time. I appreciate everyone who was there. Either in person or in spirit. I'm sure Dave does as well. It was a beautiful service. His family was extremely nice and accommodating.
Thanks for driving RR

Here's Alibabas checking out the mountains on the moon at midnight on a school night. :worried:
It's educational, what can her teacher say to that?
I cleared out my camera to go get pics of the sky and the Cathedral lit up tonight except I'm soooo tired.
ca n' t m us ter t he en e r gy :frown:
<------- wasn't told :sheepish:
I can't believe that I missed the lighting of the cathedral the last two nights. I didn't know what you were talking about until I opened Wed & Thur papers still sitting on my front hall chair. Damn!
I might hit the fireworks tonight anyway. I need to scope out the best place for a decent shot.
what's going on???

In the beginning, there was the cornerstone.
On June 2, 1907, nearly 100,000 people gathered to watch workers lower a massive stone block into the ground near downtown St. Paul. The task at hand: build a church as glorious as the cathedrals of Europe.
Archbishop John Ireland threw a party and parade to celebrate the construction of the new Cathedral of St. Paul, which took eight years to complete. Starting Friday, the archdiocese is hosting another big celebration to mark 100 years since the cornerstone was laid.

The first guy was from Round Lake (KB0NJ) The second is a lady from Coon Rapids (K0JE).
From a cursory look, neither one is a member of any particular group, then again maybe they don't disclose membership roles on the net. I could try and monitor to see if I could talk to either one, but I don't get in those areas much.
lookis like K0JE is associated with this group...
I'm confused....
If you control f here for K0JE you'll see what i'm refering Link
I'm not doing anything tonight if anyone wants to go out. And yes, I did and am getting more shots from outside Landmark. Its really cool!
I'm going up top later to get the top to ground shots. I even got the Ramsey County Sherriffs on motorcycles thismorning. Suposedly they havn't ridden motorcyles in 40 years.
Sometimes I feel like my life is just me and my camera....a love affair.
I guess I forgot about that group, probably a good one to check with and see if Dave was involved, but I see no news of his passing on that website. And usually Hams spread the word when one of their own pass away.
It could take a lot of digging to find out exactly where Dave was involved and with what groups. Sadly, unless he was involved in a large organization (local, not arrl, that's nationwide) there's probably not much they can do to help.
