My 27-year-old son just called looking for advice (I'm a nurse). Said he played frisbee golf three days ago and soon after became aware of a pain in his hip - right at the joint (ball and socket) - that he's had to take ibuprofen for. I've also told him to ice it, no heat, and told him a few stretches that might help release the low back/hip area.
To my knowledge, he's pretty new to the game, and other than being on his feet at work a lot, probably not real physically active lately.
It was actually in Portland, not Seattle. The name of the park was Pier Park. Do a Flickr search for "Pier Park Portland" if you want to see some pics of it.
I'm just heading out the door to drop Ali off for the night. I'll shoot you a call after I drop her off. Two guys without kids - watch out world. :ooh:
I finally got out discin today for the first time in awhile, my friends and I pretty much had Kaposia Park to ourselves. If anyone wants to disc sometime tomorrow or Friday let me know!
P.S. If anyone finds a blue disc in the woods to the right on hole 5 about halfway to the basket, let me know, it was my friend Brent's favorite disc!
I've ALWAYS wanted to do it except when it falls during prime hunting time ... well, you get the picture. Last year even Sunny was gonna do it with me but we somehow got distracted.
come closer so I can see you better
depending on when, I might be able to make it also...
I start work at 10:00....
7 would actually be nice considering the weather - let it cool down a bit...I'm heading in to work now for a bit. touch base-
Timmers?
On hole #8 silly :sheepish:
Is there a hip injury peculiar to this sport?

Thanks for any tips you can pass along!
a ton of the power comes from hips and legs...
when I started playing again I was a little sore in the waist/hip/arm area, but not for long.
It's like tanning... start out by playing 2 days in a row...than don't play for 2 days than play a day than play about once a week or so.
hope he feels better soon.
the pie pans...
...but i'm thinkin' it was Marty McFly.
DIGJAM!!!
<---- can I touch your disc sometime?
Perhaps I'll eventually have a decent set to play with :goofy:
