Hey it's way too nice out not to disc today... I'm going to throw a round @ lakewood hills (White Bear Ave just N of 694, go E on Orchard Rd from White Bear Ave). Anyone who wants to join me is more than welcome. My tennis league is this evening in WBL @ 5:30, so I'm probably going to head out to lakewood in the next 10 or 15 minutes.
I was thinking the same exact thing but going to Kaposia later on. I'm forced to go get another car and bring back this rental otherwise I start to pay for it. My day supervisor has to stay anyway today and is telling me to leave already and not come back. How can I argue with that?
The strangest thing happened with my computer yesterday. My granddaughter was playing a Dora game or something and when I asked to get on to Google something the text was all backward! Mirror image backward! Letter and text both backward. And the cursor thing was at the front of the text box instead of the back so I couldn't backspace.
It worked correctly in Word so it was only doing it in Foxfire. My only regret is that I didn't come in here and post something. It would have been funny to see.
I shut down and it was ok when I restarted. Has anyone ever seen that before?
Mirror image like that, yes. But the page itself wasn't backward. Only when I tried to type in a search box or in a posting box the text was mirror image. The page was normal.
I hear the thunder- heading in to work in a few minutes - pipe rusted to the catalatic convertor - last night & this morning it sounds like a hot rod truck - no way i'm parking in the ramp today-talk about an earth shaking noise that would be! :frown:
Heh, that reminds me of the old church van my youth group had. The muffler fell off one day when we went to this camp. There were a ton of church vans there, all new and shiny. Here we pull up in a rust bucket that sounds like a hot rod.
I think it backfired once too. Scared a few kids outside.
I had a muffler blow up on me once. Sounded like a bomb. Tore a huge hole in it. I was at an intersection and a man was stepping off the curb to cross the street. He jumped and then ran. My nephew was practicing soccer in the high school field about four blocks away and he heard it too.
I've had the catalatic converter blow out the back while driving on the highway - all I really remember is the sound as if someone had thrown a ton of sand out the back-chhhhhhhhhhhhh and than the loud hotrod noise. Not cool though, sarah was a baby and we pulled over to the next exit- I remeber it being either a Sunday or later in the day- in the middle of nowhere during the days of no cellphones.
It's a screen cap of Dick from Big Brother during the grueling competition Tuesday night. It reminds me of paintings of The Passion of a Christ. When he was hanging on the cross.
That's why I'm uncomfortable with it. I'm afraid it might be blasphemous.
I've had it both ways, with and without the tag line. So I'm at least partially safe from the fires of Hell I guess.
My DVR was full so I missed BB8 on Tuesday but will watch it on On-Demand tonight before watching tonight's show. Please don't say anything about BB8. I've been avoiding that thread all week.
I have a couple of nieces who call me every day to get the latest scoop. They're too impatient to wait for the show. It's funny, but nice to get the chance to talk to them every day.

I love this neighborhood.... the east side in general... although the farther south and west you go from here, the worse things get...
I love having Phalen be practically in my backyard, it would be very hard to give that up...
on that note - I found out that my sister is putting her house up for sale, here on the east side.. it goes on the market as of today
I think that is my friends addy where I stayed in January...
She had a golden retriver .. that died like 4 months ago...
so not a dangerous dog
Torgy (my BF) lives at 2020 - on the corner
he'll be like.. what the hell.. does she know EVERYONE?
(and that answer is yes - btw)

Ice Palace dons the WCCO CBS call letters
Were those fireworks or guns towards the end? Pretty lame fireworks if they were.
What? Didn't they have computer controlled explosions back then? Losers :eyeroll:
The recording is surprisingly clear with the only exception towards the middle where the speed gets messed up a bit.

Im on dial up right now so I can't see it, did you make the RockYou video thats on the main page?
I think it backfired once too. Scared a few kids outside.
we used to drive around - and i knew each block around here where there was a car with a touchy alarm system....
I'd go past them at like 3 in the morning and rev my engine, just to set off alarms....
got yelled at one time, at a taco bell drive through, because the order taker couldnt hear anybody else's orders...
you guys should hear Carolyns caddy that she's drivin right now... sounds like a harley
Although, I'm a little uncomfortable with it. The reference to Christ and all. I go back and forth on it. Leave it up? Take it down?
But I think God has a sense of humor. Otherwise, how do you explain Dick?
That's why I'm uncomfortable with it. I'm afraid it might be blasphemous.
