I think this clue means that its hidden 3-4 feet off the ground. You know, at eye level for a child.

BFG is right that has to be it now why didn't I think of that?...to bad I'm no where near glenco with my classes being all done now (or just about) I'd have plenty of time to be looking for this .

2nd Clue - "My postman collects your letters to Santa."

Bummer... its over an hour to get there....

otherwise I might think about it...

looks like its similar to the Rosemount hunt, where you get "bucks", spendable in town...

How do I get this jpg up top instead of the silly south park kid?
Thu, 12/11/2008 - 7:24 AM Permalink
me2

my postman would be the postmaster or mailman

is there a postoffice in town?

look kids eye level around the postoffice

northpole = north post - post= pole?

a fence post

the voice in the Christmas movies of the postman is Fred Astaire

How's that mag?

Better but I should have cropped the jpg.

I'll run down to the post office tonight. Best searching under cover of darkness.

The doctor in town installed a fancy singing, dancing lighted Christmas Tree up near the hospital. There is mail box there for donations. Gotta check that out also. If I find it, hopefully I can spend it all at MUNI Liquor Store. Easier to share the spoils.

I've never done an medallion hunt. Am I supposed to rake the entire search area? Is a pint in the back pocket considered required equipment? Are silly hats worn to ward off the constables? Just making sure the bases are covered!

3rd Clue - "My Decorations change with the season."

A light post they always have different things in down town areas on the light post depending on the season! Look on a light post at about 3-4 feet off the ground near the post office?

How's it look mag?

mrmnmikey

1-"I'm best seen by the eyes of a child."

2-"My postman collects your letters to Santa."

3-"My Decorations change with the season."

Christmas (Pine) tree by post office (north) pole looks good.

Now that is Sweet!

I scrapped around in the snow around the post office tonight, I wasn't the first. Checked the light poles, around in the bushes, around the fence. Checked a small park in the middle of "downtown". Nothing of interest. I need advice on snow "digging" excavation tools. Should I rake that entire park? I wore the silly hat, the cop just waved! I've never done this before. I don't know if I will be able to sleep. I got another idea................

You might want to clear all the above ground options even before raking anything. Just a thought. Like under benches, picnic tables, behind signs, around any public utility buildings, under garbage cans etc.

The Holly Days medallion has been found! The winning family found the medallion that was stuck between the streetlight post and the postÂ’s concrete base at the corner of Greeley Avenue and 10th Street near the postal service mailbox.

I was this [] close!

Your help was great. Where's the next one?

Now you can put this back in the dead folder.

CRUD - I just noticed this post, and was gearing up for a trip west and then looked at the Chamber website and noticed it was found (today)...

Couple posts back it looks like L and A Mommy nailed the location.

Need to remember to hunt the st. paul medallion with them...

I said a lamp post me2 because of the different flags and ornamentation that most small towns put up on there down town light poles

Yeah, and knowing me it could have gone either way.

Actually Jana took a picture of me when I used to work in downtown st. paul that I really liked, I was wearing a tie, the cathedral was behind me...nice picture. I meant to send that to hunnybear but I clicked on the wrong one!
