Finding out that my bro is coming up Monday to help me move! He is bringing my other bro's truck, so we should be able to make this (partial) move in one trip. And I'll be in the cities two whole days before Christmas Eve. And I'll have a whole week after Christmas to get ready to start my new nine-month contract job on January 3. Looking forward to getting in on more Cooler events in the future!
After a week of driving cross country from San Diego, our daughter has arrived safe and sound in her new resident city of Washington DC. Today the movers will arrive with her boxes and furniture. New beginnings for her and easier sleeping for her parents. The girl has guts driving all that way.
Enjoy #2:
Tomorrow morning same daughter will be arriving by plane at MSP to be here through the holidays!!!!!
Ahhh to be young again. I hesitate to drive to Woodbury after dark. Great news that she'll be home for Christmas. Will Brian be home too? Have they set a wedding date yet?
OT - They have been married just over two years already. They bought a house about 2 miles from where we are.
They, however, will be spending the holiday in Grand Marais where her family is, so we will be having our Christmas the afternoon on the 27th when we can all be together.
Yup. I'm sure I posted a picture or two. I also put a video of the first dance on You Tube...though it wasn't realy easy to see because of the lighting.
I hope when Carolyn and I get married that we can find a way to turn ALL the lights off, so nobody is subjected my "white boy who can only dance when he's drunk" dance-moves.
its sad, that the worm, and the hammer dance, and the ninja rap dance, arent considered acceptable....
the winter-carnival event organizers should add another event to their schedule - an old fashioned break-dancing competition... complete with the cardboard boxes on the ground, and everything.
you're required to wear an addidas track-suit, some sort of giant, gold (preferably fake) jewelry, and a wool bucket hat, as your uniform..

There's some pictures out there of yours truly spinning around on the boxes that are sure to lower my kool quotient even farther in IceMans eyes.
There's even video of me jamming to Boogie in your Butt :sheepish:
See no your just scored some Kool Points on the fact that you use to Break!! Man now I just need to know that you still have the 30bls Boom box!! lol or at least had one!
We a huge boombox. Even had a non PC name for it. We'd bring it up to Ely and they would act like they just seen the second coming of Christ. We even had groupies up there. :sheepish:
Hmmm we always called them boom boxes or Ghetto blasters. I had a loud one with an 8 track ahhh the good old days. Blasting Black Oak Arkansas up at Mounds Park playing Buzz bee.
enjoy: letting an asshole parent know exactly where the bear shits in the buckwheat at a school concert tonight. although i think she may have left a racing stripe down her seat from what the kids said was her reaction
The same day I tried to help L & A Mommy with her computer woes, my computer up and died. I called my daughter and she said my son-in-law would drive up this weekend to pick it up once more to get it up and running. He showed up this afternoon with a new computer under his arm!! Said it was a Christmas gift and half of the gift was his because he was tired of fixing the old one. Woo Hoo! Clever of that old computer to break down right around Christmas!
My new desktop wallpaper. I copied a picture from FB that Sue's daughter Sarah took up on the North Shore this fall. A beautiful picture of stones just below ther surface of Lake Superior. What a lovely picture!
This picture was one of many she took on their trip to the North Shore. I clicked on her page when either Ares or Sue were tagged on one of the pictures. There are a lot more in that particular album that are just as good. I hope I didn't step on any toes by grabbing it for my wallpaper.
Hey, I obviously have not been around in here. Just reading this now. I didn't know you were moving here. ?? is the contract job here? Looks like you began yesterday! good luck!
WoW Terry! I wish I could do that. Once children come in to play it is harder to just up and move across the country. I actually would move to D.C., I'd love to work at the Smithsonian, if it weren't for 4 more years of high school here. And even then I can't move away until my kids do.
I assume she went back to D.C. by now, I hope you had a wonderful Christmas together.
geesh darlin, you have to write things like this down on your Christmas list if you want me to see it. now you wonder why you didnt get it. hehe that is a way saweet car. wow
crazy LAM!

Well this lamp too, but that's really it this time......
