HAHAHA so Elizabeth just said lets go, I said I can't I hve to work, but you can get a new car and it's free, I said yeah but I have to work to have a house to live in, she said but you can live in a pretty new car....My kids want to go and so do I :frown:
Just judging by the webcam shot of the truck, and no other clues, I would still say Oklahoma. The color of the soil and the grasses are a dead giveaway. Maybe extreme northern Texas is similar, but that is definitely Oklahoma.
Ended up being in Maine.. Sort of a weird spot, but I guess if you're looking for a relatively large area of unused space to hide a vehicle at on the eastern seaboard.. Maine would be the logical choice.
What a scam. First you have to agree to a Chevy dealer contacting you and then you have to provide the name and other personal information of another person to finalize your entry.
Yeah.. GM marketing kind of sucks. It's like the chevy booth at the state fair, you have to fill out a form with contact information (and they check it to make sure you didn't fake anything) just to get a free tshirt with their logo all over it.
Regardless, it's another car giveaway I guess :goofy:
I got it now. I don't know if I'm even going to do it since you can't use bikes. I'm too old to be jogging all over the place. We did the same hunt for a diamond ring a couple of years ago and that was very tiring even using bikes. fun tho
I wouldn't hold my breath. Knowing a couple of the businesspeople from downtown, the conventional wisdom right now is to horde as much cash as they can, so when the bypass bridge is built they can survive the 'loss' of business. Doesn't matter that the bridge threat has always been around for 5+ decades, it's 'real' now. The economy is just as much to blame for the lack of money; not many want to spend on kitschy souvenir and craft shops right now.
Truth be told, the Lumberjack people have been going cheap for quite a few years now, which is why their entertainment selections have not been as 'nice' or 'family-friendly'. It would take next to nothing to just have a simple art fair with some fireworks, but NOBODY will pony up the dough for it. If they want to have their huge concerts and attractions of years gone by, someone has to really stick their neck out, and it won't be a local person.
The disturbing trend seems to be a lot of local festivals and events are closing up either due to lack of funds or lack of people willing to run them. We'll probably see less and less medallion hunts in the future. Too bad really.
Coonrapids hunt was cancelled this year do to funds!!!! (which is ok so I dont have to get mad cause the"old timer is confused" again)
Northbranch was right after pp ....dammmmm..missed it .. not found till clue 5 and on clue 3 1st letter in each sentence "Hardenpark"..wow even mr news could of found that coin with no CC help..)
The White Bear Lake hunt starts in the middle of June as well. It usually starts on a Thursday, so I'm guessing June 14. So if anyone is planning a mock hunt cough *Ares* cough cough, they should get it done before then.
This article indicates they were trying to decide on if they wanted to continue the medallion hunt, as they viewed it as a Waning event with not many participants.
