2012 - Tony Schmidt Park

Submitted by ares on
2012 Clues

So its back to the drawing board for next year
to find a spot so deep and drear.
Harder to reach all you whiners
than those buried Chilean miners.

Next year's clues will inspire dread
requiring knowledge of languages dead,
Higher math rocket science
disbanding every hunters alliance.

I take your leave. I bid adieu.
I go in search of the perfect clue.
Prepare to hike hard dig deep and delve.
Will have a grand party in 2012.

the road could also be County Road E2 connecting St Paul, Arden Hills, and New Brighton...or it could be the trail, or the railroad, or....

It probably didn't really stick until after I had actually been out there to see it for myself.

as much as i don't like it since i have schmidt, i think i have to agree with you on this mike. if the pipress only calls it perry, then all others it is.

that said, i don't think this will end up being an issue

I would like to buy 2 pirate medallions. I will be at TS soon in a long red coat digging with a broomball stick. Anyone there have medallions to share? I want to plant them for my kids as a surprise.

Welcome Flynn

Yes, I think I see it...just south of the choo choo, right? You have to go through Perry (or Paris, LOL?) to get there?

Not bad, a camouflaged cork-type container. I didn't have a pen to sign it so I put it back and added some leaves and stuff to cover it up lol.

Help needed...

Can anyone tell me how I find saved private messages? I know that it was saved somehow to make the red bullseye go away, but now I don't know where to find it...

Here are the first nine parks that contain mini medallions. I'll tell you more later.

And remember this was designed to let lots of people WIN – so please take only one or two and leave some for others to find.

· Phalen Park

· Harriet Island

· Tony Schmidt Park

· Highland Park

· Newell Park

· Cherokee Park

· Mounds Park

· Star Park

· Beaver Lake Park

Now they tell people to only take a couple.

I grabbed extra to disperse them to people that couldn't find any, before someone else grabbed a bunch.

That's weird, I can only find North Star park so far, and that is in Circle Pines. Anyone else any luck?

Nice outside today.

I bet somebody put an * asterisk on one of the lines, and the person who handles facebook posts misinterpreted it to mean "Star Park." Only explanation I can come up with, lol.

go into your private messages. keep hitting save until you come to it.

Spent the greater part of the last 3 days at TS. I found a few great places and prospects but so far, no puck.

I have a few ideas still brewing. The "special claim" is still giving my mind some trouble. I know some are referring to the youngest finder as that claim, but I don't think so.

Flynn and inasuitcase. The rest I have are spoken for :frown: If I manage to spot any more, I'll grab them for you.

I do think more are going to start appearing when the snow melts.

I'm guessing that many of them don't know they are hiding. Signed up and have no idea of what settings they are on.

Thanks. Over the past week, incl today, I've been to many Ramsey County parks wo success. My niece and I want to go to this exhibit so very much and I would love to save some money on admission. I think it's ridiculous they threw these out like candy at a parade and expected folks to just take one or two.

I'm not hidden, am I? (Am trying to hide at work--should be more productive. 'Tis the curse of the hunt.)

I actually thought they would be easy to spot - but have not seen any in the parks.

I know someone that got one from a cache though - good idea there to put them in caches. I'd love to go too but the only way I'm going is with a coin.

nope- you're listed up there -

Yeah, that's a bummer. I know, I had been out looking for quite some time before I ran across a patch of them. I like the idea of it, but unfortunately, you can't really stop people from grabbing extras.

KC0GRN

The first one I found was just stuck in the bark on a tree, way out in plain sight. I'm surprised all the walkers on the trail hadn't seen them.

Well, if I get out to look for more, I'll grab what I can and see that they find their way to the rehash bash.

Maybe the names time out or something, because I've had this window open since early morning and don't show up on your list.

Finally caught-on that the dog ("woof") is on the puck (on the snowman's shoulder).

What is the name of the skinny park overlooking the river off Kellogg downtown? Anyone look there for pirate medallions? Seems a logical place since Science Museum is only a few blocks away...

I was thinking it might even be a reference to the 1988 hunt when the puck was encased in almond "bark".
