2014 - Como Park

Submitted by ares on

I'm late. Got involved in something else.

I think the first line is an error. Not scrambled.

Over the rainbow - I don't think we are in Kansas - where is the yellow brick road?

not liking Shamrock as much as the Rice Creek Regional Trail area, with the off leash dog park, just because it's so massive, but haven't been able to tie it together yet

If its not a goof, they could be making it very clear, as if the park is on a county line. Bald Eagle's park is actually in Ramsey County, and the northern part is in an other.

I would love it to be in the new dog park of Rice creek regional trail. I would not have to drive. I could just walk

The first line is the unscrambled first line from Clue 2. I think it is in error.

I can't figure out the other pair of rhymes.

....will bring you luck

....lead you the puck

(notice Terry I used dots instead of blah blah blah)

Yes, I can't either. Again and begin?

Maybe the clues are getting to be fewer and fewer lines. :eyeroll:

I did notice.

Less keying that way.

It will be interesting to see wha the "official" online clue reads - as well as the print version in the morningÂ….

I thought that was a good try!

Thanks CM! Much appreciated. I'll get it posted to the clue thread once I ponder this a moment or two.

In our own world noodling maybe. I do see you if that's any consolation.

I apologize for this noodle I know its bad and the PP will never do this but Rainbows and Crosby Park have one thing in common....

Rainbows are created near waterfalls... from the mist.

You would think the scrambled clue 4 wouldn't include the unscrambled first line of clue 2.
Tue, 01/21/2014 - 9:20 PM Permalink
Terry

Hamm's falls maybe.

Or hidden falls

Or the Fountain.
Tue, 01/21/2014 - 9:22 PM Permalink
tom

I cant remember where but I read a park recently fixed their pumps for the waterfalls...
Tue, 01/21/2014 - 9:24 PM Permalink

Como's pump for the water fall is to close to the surface.. but it is huge..i am sure you see rainbows in the water fall in summer

If this is another one of those "look to the buck" clues...

rainbows = there are many different colored flowers in the park

I'm gonna have to hit someone

mucluck

That sounds like something I would say

I need to get out to the conservatory this winter - soon.

I am not having much luck putting this clue together with anything else.

Clue 2 and the 3M dash

Clue 3 with old sandy, mired and pits

Clue 4 with rainbows and luck. Makes me think of Kermit the Frog -- Frog Pond!

Tatergirl

Rainbows lead you to the puck.

Thinking it over will bring you luck.

Is it far away or where you've been?

If fooled, just begin again.

Clue 1: Polar Vortex caused by the greenhouse issues. Greenhouse = conservatory

Up behind the Hamm's Falls, there is a labrynth. Those are used for a variety of activities to clear your mind, to meditate, etc. Some say it can change your luck. Does anyone know what shape it is? I don't remember.

Rainbow and thinking it over brings me to "Over the Rainbow" by Judy Garland or Dorothy Gale, possible street references?

Begin Again by Taylor Swift?
Tue, 01/21/2014 - 9:38 PM Permalink
Terry

It is called the Global Harmony Labryinth.

We have one on the grounds where I work. That is in the shape of a butterfly.

Now I'm thinking rainbows as in colors

streets near Como

Rose - red

orange - duh

Ivy - green

lakeview - blue

Terry

I'm also trying to think if there is or was a rainbow painted on a building or in the kiddy rides area. Maybe over on the playground in the picnic area?
Tue, 01/21/2014 - 9:47 PM Permalink
Tatergirl

Jessamine - yellow
Tue, 01/21/2014 - 9:48 PM Permalink
Terry

Hyacinth - purple

there was a big rainbow mural painted on the old swimming pool building at Como pool; I saw it myself during a hunt past. I believe the building was torn down (?)

Lets add to your street list

Almond (Not the nut)

There is also Midway. If fooled began again. (Start in the middle or midway)
