I love the labyrinth because I don't think it's included in the park book. It's circular, you can see it on google/maps. This would allow you to begin again, if at first you were fooled...
Ok, here's my last thought before I sign off for the night. "Begin again" means that if you got sidetracked, go back to clue 1. I think clue 2 was the red herring...
I like the animal theme! My thoughts on the "private land" line is that it could relate to Como pretty well. There's that big section of private land SE of Lexington & Horton. Lots of homes. It juts up into Como.
Are they telling us all the obvious clues so far show be disregarded.
Is it far away or where you have been? with the north and polar reference could this mean it is in the south.
or does it mean south ave, south of silver lake in NSP, and this clue is fooling us to give up on the north suburbs.
Rainbows skip over the center, linking south: Chair- o key to North St.Paul, or WBL.
Rainbows caused by sunlight always appear in the section of sky directly opposite the sun - the north and east or west, unless it is far away and then we should go south.
Looks like I have narrowed it down a lot. it is either close or far N, S,E,or W, or in the center by the flower named streets.
And now I can't find any proof of that to validate that memory. Odd, I remember driving with my parents locating those streets. Maybe we were just that good that we got that without any reference in the clues.
stretch: Rainbows Begin Childcare, right slab in the middle of residential area right slab in the middle of Upper and Lower Afton Road, Battlecreek Regional Park.
They didn't seem to care about parking at Lilydale. In fact, this would be a huge step up from that. Also, what are the odds a park like Shamrock would even go to the 12th clue?
very long Larry Ho street over there; Ruth street! Oh how I remember skipping school (SSP) and digging in that area when it was found in, I think, 1969? I remember digging at Ruth st. area
HERE is the run path: Rainbow run started at (3.11 miles) Hamline and horton, stop 1 on gateway drive by fishing peer..stop 2 at black bear crossing..stop 3 right inside woods before corner of Hamile and horton..finish by the fire pit..and 2 picnic tables.
But it is their game and we're all just chasing rainbows while it's snowing out.
My two cents at the moment are on
"Begin again"... Michael Finnegan?

Night,
Makes me wonder.
The grade school between Maryland and Wheelock. There are some colors on that building, but I don't know if its a rainbow.
I think I'll need to take a detour in the morning on the way to work and check it out.
I think I'm going to follow the yellow brick road, somewhere over the rainbow connection, to the frog pond in my dreams.
Goodnight and SCDs!
Goodnight x 2.
Here's my attempt at contributing-- trying to connect the older clues with the newer clues:

I'm looking at diction.....Boreas "roared".......lions!...(Como zoo!)
...."Polar".....BEARS........ animal references...I'm hopping into the Como'ver here wagon!
This stanza is troubling me: Across private land is no place to roam
I like the rainbow street car idea and other than that-- I'm stumped! Hindsight is always 20/20, so I'm off to study clues from 2013!

Since I hunt with a three year old, I like the idea of a place with bathrooms and snacks available.
Now what happened yesterday?

If fooled, just begin again.
-the race started at the Midway Pavilion. It was a lap race and once you completed a lap, you began again at the starting point.
Also all the other clues fit Como so perfectly right now.
