I have leftover words and some just got knocked off the desk and onto the floor.

Inks is in bed. He'll wonder what the heck was going on here in the morning.

Eags - I saw that too. Made me do a double take...and wondered if you suddenly had two logins.

If you dropped Boreas and Vulcan on the floor, is that name dropping?

Where is the real clue? We've had it by now previously.

I bet the paper was later or the crowd bigger.

And it did snow so the roads might be slippery.

Patience is not my strongest trait.

Unless this clue gives something more than what seems somewhat obvious, this isn't getting us closer to the medallion. I'm not sure its even getting us to Como.

I am afraid we're going to get a 10th clue chase somewhere else.

It's going to put Como to bed for good, I am near certain. But to where will we move? Good hunt so far, if not a bit nebulous and difficult. Very well written though, great imagery.

This could be railroad island, lower landing, mears, Kellogg, or anywhere else. The clues sort of fit Como, but most could fit elsewhere.

"No time for cold feet" is the Boreas creed

But if warmer weather is what you need,

Riddle this clue and don't get it wrong --

Vulcans' vision is summer all year long.

I agree, maybe not much in this clue unless it's something like an anagram. I sometimes wonder if the weekend ones are kinda throw-away clues.

The conservatory makes snese for summer all year long.

In fact it makes enough snese for me to believe it could be Como.

5 clues left. Still time for a switch, but it would be nice if they didn't.

Thanks though, to those who REALLY made it happen!

A riddle is a statement or question or phrase having a double or veiled meaning, put forth as a puzzle to be solved. Riddles are of two types: enigmas, which are problems generally expressed in metaphorical or allegorical language that require ingenuity and careful thinking for their solution, and conundra, which are questions relying for their effects on punning in either the question or the answer.

Huh??
Fri, 01/24/2014 - 9:38 PM Permalink
Terry

Eags, do you remember how the sense/snese thing started years ago? I don't, but I misspell sense wrong all the time.

My desk and the floor here is a mess - and I didn't sneeze yet.

This is a little simpler definition.

noun

noun: riddle; plural noun: riddles

1.

a question or statement intentionally phrased so as to require ingenuity in ascertaining its answer or meaning, typically presented as a game.

I appreciate getting it here no matter how it happens. I don't like the FB format for noodling.

And it gives me the opportunity to get it in the clue thread quickly.

I think we have this nailed. The conservatory.

Who was out digging today? Is the frog pond dug out yet?

If it is the conservatory, its probably just telling you youre in the right park. I doubt they'll narrow an area in the park until closer to the end.

Granted, they might want to wrap this one up before Mondays cold temps hit....

Crap. I was there today, too. I probably stepped on the dang thing! But, there's a heck of a lot of snow out there to dig through. Sheesh!
