"When we were first approached about doing a contemporary labyrinth for the sister cities of St. Paul and Nagasaki, we created a two-path labyrinth where the parties met in the center"
you think this is the riddle instead of doing anagrams, etc. One year the CW took one word from each line and then you needed to do an anagram of the one word; but you needed to figure all that out. Some pretty tough ones.
Maybe have the park... I'm just at the state of "well I don't have any better idea, might as well just go with the popular consensus". There still could be that 10th clue switcheroo...
I'm still on the fence. I'm stubborn like that. Still no mention of park in any of the clues. This from Clue #2 makes me think it's not in a park. The treasure’s in Ramsey; public land, search it all –
Suburbs and neighborhoods and throughout St. Paul.
Too tired and too much homework to do to slog through all the past posts but did y'all get the connection w/Pitts and Charley's bones? Also, Lake Como used to be called Sandy Lake. Read up on 2003 clues and explanations. No doubt Como is our park.
While I'd love a hunt that ends in either a small park or a different patch of public land, I think this hunt is too popular to have it end in a small area.
I have NOT been digging anywhere so far. Have driven through CoNo quite a few times just in the course of day to day stuff. I will admit, I am ANTI como, but my youngest - Natalie thinks she likes it for the clues. The things she mentioned were the fire pits, and the street car stationÂ…Â…and particularly the intersection of Lexington and Horton/Como where the street car station is.
I was thinking that all of the clues were moving from east to west, but if mansions door refers to the Stone Bridge from Crosby's Stonebridge estate (EEE) (was the entrance to stonebridge) then it was west first, then east to west. Maybe we meet in the middle??
Remember the one Como hunt with the bridge missing it's span? That was the year of the leaf blower guy I believe. That was also some bridge that was tied to streetcars. That now has it's span replaced.
I just remember talking with the press one year before everyone started mapping out the old locations and the topic came up about how the medallion had never been hidden in the same spot twice. The way my conversation went I always wondered if it got back to the clue writer.
Personally, I wouldn't think so. If one goes along those lines then The Courthouse and other Ramsey County service buildings would be also in terms of hiding/searching. You can go in them, but you are limited to activities for which purposes they exist or services they offer. I would be leery of the "RR" part. There would most likely be some co-activity with the "RR" the County is allied with to get the AmTrack's running through there again. They would frown on a posse of avid hunters running through the place.
I was out and the frog pond is not very dug out yet nor around it.The frog was sporting a green tee-shirt draped over his back. I didn't go closer to see what it said.
I've been pretty close on the medallion since Clue 4. Am within one block of where it most likely is. Gonna spend all day looking for it and who knows - maybe i'll look in the right spot, but today, it's time to do some work!
I still think we're missing something on the mansion's door clue. The apostrophe makes it something other than a structure. Splendid mansion has to be a person or organization or something else I can't think of right now. I don't think I'll crack that one. It'll probably be one I facepalm about when the clues are explained.
Pretty sure. There was an article from the guy who makes it and he said he made another one with a new 3d insert in it. Just assuming if there is an insert then it must be plastic/resin of some sort.
Just to slidify my understanding of this clue./..
Is it far away or where you've been?
If fooled, just begin again.
"When we were first approached about doing a contemporary labyrinth for the sister cities of St. Paul and Nagasaki, we created a two-path labyrinth where the parties met in the center"
So now we have the park. I hope we get a better idea of the area soon.
VulcanÂ’s vision is summer all year long.
Since I haven't seen a good, old fashioned, clue breakdown yet...
1 – Roared, Polar, genes (orangutans share 97% of our DNA)- zoo
Green – golf
2 – Thin ice – lake
3 – old sandy – como
Pits – Pitts
4 – all of the rainbow places by coNo
Far away/where you been/begin again – Global Harmony Labyryinth
5 – star to star/afar – CoNo star thingy at the school or something
Mansion door - stonebridge is at w.side of CoNo (EEE)
Soul to Soar? - Stonebridge is gone, but was one of the greatest private residences in St Paul, ever...
6 – street car station redone in recent years, new waterpark…
7 – conservatory…
What else am I missing? What could be used as a "what its in" clue?
The soar thing could be a new Eagle Soar ride in Como Town.
I believe the mansion is the house just across Hamline by the west gate with the lions - roared.

But we've come to expect that and perhaps this year they have us holding back and it won't be coming after all.

Thanks

Hopefully I will get a stroke of inspiration on the way and stop by the park...
Coffee pot is setup for morning, someone remember to turn off the lights...
Goodnight and SCDs!
yes its old but now new...
why is it "the Boreas creed". If it is a proper name of a creed like The Apostle's Creed it should be capitalized.
If it is not a title why have "the" in it, and there should be an apostrophe.
In the city where I'm from
All the people think I'' dumb...
I'm alone now.
