You guys left me out alone on planet stupid. I read deep thoughts and TV and thought of Jack Handy, now referred to twice.

I'll be the guy with the red shovel staring mouth agape at the overhead cameras. If I'm drooling, make sure I'm dressed warm!

Can't find much info on the third monument in that section: "Robert Manheimmer monument and fountains." who was Robert Manheimmer?

I remember the bust was found in some kind of store down in FL. I didn't remember that it was a video store.

I know that about Ibsen. Something like 11 years later and then didn't it take some years to get it back?

We've had about 1/4 inch of snow. Just enough to create slippery roads. Be careful.

It looks like Schiller was part of something called the Storm and Stress movement.

I wonder what way to imagine turning Schiller's head. And how much is just a ways?

I am going to predict it won't be found this evening.

Right. Statue of Schiller in Como Park (Nason Pl. and Estabrook Dr). There is an Ibsen bust nearby on Lexington Parkway as well. So somewhere between the statue and Ibsen.

I'd say you turn Ibsen's head, not Schiller's.

HUGE apologies if this has already been posted and I missed itÂ….even tho I *know* at least ONE poster had mentioned both Schiller and Ibsen a few days back. I didn't remember seeing anything on the Bust of Schiller actually going through restoration. Guess it had a "re-dedication" last May, complete with a performance of "Ode to Joy"Â….

Re-reading the clue - I believe it's Schiller's head to turn. His head is already looking to the right. I wonder if it would be more right or left.

Hopefully it won't be found tonight, I'm going out in the morning once I get off work!

Would he be gazing toward Union Depot if you did that?

At least the area in the park is now narrowed down.

Three more inches of snow by morning. Three more inches to dig through.

all these have faces facing some way. maybe in the middle of all their gazes? Or is Isben not looking the same way as Schiller and Mannheimer. They seem far apart from each other.

I do not like snow, Joe.

I do not like it on a path.

I do not like it in the bath.

I do not like it coming down

I do not like it - makes a frown.

Question.

Did any of you sign up to be notified by email when the clues come out each day? Has that worked for you?

I have done that every year and have never gotten an email but once. Not one year - one time.

true, which head is turned. good point

Why do you think it is Schiller's head? The first four lines are about Schiller. Then, the second four lines are about Ibsen. What am I missing?

Love that Mom.

I am so tired of this winter and we have a ways to go yet.

I don't think Mannheimer has a face. It looks more like a bird bath. I think Ibsen is facing towards the lake, away from Schiller. It looks like Schiller would have to turn his head to the left in order to see Ibsen.

I've been getting mine every day. Both for scrambled and unscrambled clues.

Terry

I think the word bust is to make us think of Ibsen. The word bust talks about a TV show that went bust. The clue, in my opinion is about Schiller.

I have received emails just fine this year. I can't remember previous years, but I would THINK that if they hadn't worked, I'd probably remember.

I get the scrambled clue each evening about 10:30, and the "official" one about 11:30.

Thanks. It doesn't end up in my spam folder either. I'm not going to sign up for that next year. Waste of time and a source of frustration. The hunt can cause enough frustration as it is.

Def wearing britches and seems to have long hair: TaschnerÂ’s Schiller, wearing the costume

of his own time, vigorously strides forward

as if about to deliver his newest poem to an

eagerly awaiting audience. Schiller info
