We happened to be out and about tonight and happened by several of the parks that were part of the early clue noodling last year...Valley, Arlington/Arkwright, Marydale...seemed like yesterday.
Soon it'll be time for new clues and new noodling and long nights, long days, glee and frustration. I can't wait!

I'd say Mom's finally seeing that round'bout Halloween, maybe as late as Thanksgiving, The 'Crew begins pacing, pondering, noodling, gnashing o'teeth as the The Hunt genes start to kick in (ittiz got sumpin' to do with the length o'the days, I believe... Like trees going dormant, but the opposite fur us...). So She's gettin' this here thighy ("thighy" = Beeism fur "thingy.") going sooner.
Wonder if The Camo Krewe's vulching around here yet... I've been thinking o'them CONSTANTLY!!! There's all these Christmas arminents of widdo camo deer/duck/goose, et al hunters... Every time I see one o'the arminents, I think o'them... Hell! I see ANYTHING camo, and I think o'those guys!!!
Wonder if I could choreograph a short routine fur them... Would be cute... Camo tutus would be precious!!!

Well folks...how easy is the actual digging going to be this year? (knock on wood). Barring a couple of blizzards in the next month, the physical labor should be less than recent previous years, although this could cause an increase in the menatl energy needed to figure out the clues! Anyway, it's nice to know there are some others who have already started thinking about the digging at this early date.
well, jt, i *think* i have all 28,288 messages from the 2000-2001 thread. i've gotta go through and verify that, and if qwest ever gets my dsl connection changed to my new isp, i'll get it all set up sometime this weekend.
How'd you get it to work? How many files did it take? What ISP you switching to for your DSL (I'm thinking of changing too) What's the wing velocity of a sparrow?

started out doing a view all messages thing. then replaced the stuff in the address bar after the '/' with a 0. then the number of the last message that showed up in that page which for the first one was like 233 or something. and just kept going till i had them all.
i'm changing over to visi. my account's already active there, and qwest was supposed to have moved the hardware connection yesterday. 36 hours after the due date, according to their database i'm on visi, but man, i've still got a connection going through qwest. go figure. if i can't get connected to visi tonite, i'm calling qwest again. if i have to call them again tomorrow, the next call's gonna be to the public utilities commission.
