Strange about the tree trimmings in Phalen, being that they will not hide it on the course, I don't think it has any real meaning.It has not been in Phalen since '83, very interesting. Also, the ice castle was there to comemerate the 100 year aniversary of the carnival.
Well... Here's something that just dawned on me...
Now, The Hider... S/he would stick out like a sore thumb just marching along, looking for a place to hide The Med, maybee even driving a 'Pressmobile, all alone in a snowy park...
But if Parks & Maintenace trucks and guys are all over a park, or in the area, well... Nobody would notice or pay attention to them, they could swarm all over a park...
Too, branches cut very recently. Like since the last good snow. They're not covered. They've not been on the ground that long...
Yup. I'll give you that, Guy. But anybuddy skulking along in a park at nite, trying to bee unobtrusive, is gonna bee a dead give o'way to those that lurk around parks trying to see when The Med izz hidden!!!
what if a park ranger, or a inpersonator, or a city worker/ impersonator hides the bloody thing. nobody pays attention to them. or dressed like a street bumb. but they dont wander thru open fields in winter time too much. not even bones on rice street.
I was playing golden eye with the guys i scouted with, thats why im "UP". i spose the massive amounts of reese peanut buttercups im eating dosnt help either
That's what I'm saying, WW... The P&R folks go in, cut some branches... And an "impersonator" of *them* dances in amoung them and plants The Med! All in broad daylight and nobuddy thinks a thing of it!
I think it was put out during that first big snow storm we had at the beginning of January. Usually ittiz found at or near ground level. For example, the year it was out at Cherokee near the fire hydrant, There was much digging to do to get to it. That fire hydrant was near the street and the plows had buried it very well.
I find it hard to believe someone could put that out in a place like that a couple days before the clues start and make it look exactly like every place else in the park.

I believe in my heart of hearts ittiz put out earlier rather than later. I think the only time ittiz later is when we are lacking snow. That's when it ends up in clumps of soil and leaves.
Ter... What about the Capitol Mall, when in the 'muffs... *That* was not lying around for a month!!! Maybee it was... And you were just like the 150th people that tossed it back thinking the owner would retrace her steps for them...

But the person hiding it probably already has a good idea where they are going to put it without even scouting.
