If you were stranded on a desert island with the ability to listen to one and only one album(disc) for the rest of your life, what would it be?

How does it look on the inside?

Bud, it is a heap on the inside too! Has been since I was 16 years old........course I didn't mind as much then as I didn't drink and had a strong young bladder........

I have seen some great artists perform there and a few not so great......what I can't figure out is why they play there! The "green" room is a hole! The hospitality table is sparse at best and then theres that phone booth back there that they haven't cleaned up in years........::shudder::

Don't get me strated on the bathrooms and what happens behind the upstairs bar......::double shudder::

The dilemma:

Take the #70 joe, or leave the number #69 alone for all to view?

I took the joe.

Was it a dream?

It had to have been, but it seemed so vividly real.

Or maybe it was a lucky heart connected by some cosmic miracle to a very special happening, "seeing" as well as feeling.

But there they all were.

Roy Orbison.

Stevie Ray Vaughan.

Townes Van Zandt.

And Buddy himself.

"Hey, Hoss! Welcome! We were expecting you!"

There were emotional greetings and hugs all around.

Then Waylon and the boys played Not Fade Away...

Do you mean where did I get it?

If you've ever heard of Virtual Places, it's a tour vehicle. I've probably had it about 4 years.

Lord its the same ol tune
Fiddle and guitar
Where do we take it from here?
Rhinestone suits and new shiny cars
Its been the same way for years
We need a change

Somebody told me when I came to Nashville
Son, you've finally got it made
Ol Hank made it here
And we're all sure that you will
But I don't think Hank done it this way
Naw, I don't think Hank done this way
(instrumental)
Ten years on the road makin' one night stands
Speeding my young life away
Tell me one more time just so's I'll understand
Are you sure Hank done it this way?
Did ol Hank really do it this way?
(instrumental)
Lord I've see the world with a five-piece band
Looking at the backside of me
Singing my songs, one of his now and then
But I don't think Hank done 'em this way
No I don't think Hank done 'em this way
(instrumental)

Ian, the band Leftover Salmon does this song, with Waylon, on their album The Nashville Sessions. Worth picking up, IMHO.
