Discuss the 2005 Pioneer Press Treasure Hunt here.

there's still something that smells fishy to me about all of this with the vulc and the bartenders. like why the second and third incidents even happened. how many ladies in here if that happened to them wouldn't warn the others? or ensured a bloody nose for that matter?
It's an intimidation thing. I've seen it happen. I know people it's happened to. You don't even see it coming and when it does, you're like, did that really happen? And when you complain you're not a good sport.
this morning i was listening to ks95 on my way into work and they had a former royal guard call in about the incident. aside from the fact that the vulcs were supposedly in the blue royalty's den when they're not allowed in the vulcan den, he was cool about the whole situation and said that apparently the whole situation was fine until the next morning when one of the bartender's boyfriends found out about it. whether there's any truth to that, however, i don't know.
Well, I know that a girlfriend of a St. Paul policeman works there as a waitress. I don't know if she was working that night though or if she was involved.
kitch also said he knows a trustworthy source who was there that night that said it happened. of course there's only 9 people who know what actually happened under the capes.
I want to thank everyone for taking a step back and taking a breath or two.Â
I pray I never see the likes of what went on here today ever again. It's not what ANY of us wants.Â
Every single person here has a uniqueness that makes them a perfect member of the Cooler Crew.  Every one of you possesses a richness that only serves to make this group richer for your participation. That includes those who have been around since the beginning, and those who have found their way here just this year.Â
After witnessing whatever this was here today, some of you may feel a need to check out. I hope you don't, but if you do, know you're always welcome when you're ready. You can check out, but you can never leave. Once a Cooler Crew, always a Cooler Crew.Â
In the words of Greg Sax who first penned this Statement of Purpose as found at www.coolercrew.com....
The Cooler Crew is an online community dedicated to the spirit of the annual St. Paul Pioneer Press Winter Carnival Medallion Hunt. The shared quest for a plastic blue medallion hidden every winter in a public park in St. Paul, Minnesota caused a friendly exchange of ideas within a Web forum supplied by the sponsors of the medallion hunt. By nature of being a community, the Crew has expanded its mutual interests, but the thrill of the hunt is where it all began. Eventually, it was decided that these souls needed a place of their own—and here it is. Every attempt is being made to make this an important reference point for all things medallion, with a few extras for good measure.
Unlike some other computer-based gathering places, this joint is filled with intelligent people who make a point to get away from their computers every now and then, sometimes to meet with each other as a group in public places. Whether you're looking for sensory involvement beyond the sights on a computer screen, or you simply want a new place to play, the Cooler is a respectable place to stop by for a cool drink.
I switched to channel 5. They were talking about chocolate. :)
Well guys, I'm beat. I accomplished practically nothing today. Hopefully tomorrow I'll get more done! Glad to see that blood pressures have a gone down a little.
As a reward for Thomas and his good work in school and for Joey's sanity we bought the boys a Play Station 2 yesterday. That went over pretty good I must say.
Thomas must have thanked us 20 times in the first hour he was home.
I just kept telling him, it was for all the hard work he had been doing from dealing with his speak issues to getting past those and making up for lost time in writing and math.
Joey gets the best brother in the world award for just being there for Thomas during the last two years. he might be younger but he tryed to help him throughout. You can tell the bond they have is strong and should carry them far.
Joey was home when we went to buy the PS2 so he picked out the games Shriek 2 and Fairly Odd Parents. Fun all around.....

I've just been waiting for Terry to show up and put us in our place, thanks for being gentle Terry!
Q.
Why are married women heavier than single women?
A.
Single women come home, see what's in the fridge and go to bed. Married women come home, see what's in bed and go to the fridge.
see FB....you missed this JOE!
I find myself longing for Joe Medallion....funny.
Or Pie
Didn't Kitch kinda take his place? :)

Pie was a dude like Joe, Jesus and the rest - probably all the same dude, in fact
Joe Medallion was a royal pain, but Scribe, I think you're right.

[Edited by on Feb 10, 2005 at 07:50pm.]
Well, except maybe for Jesus - he was somebody else.

I thought a suisare was an individual who showed up somewhere he or she wasn't invited to. That was my take on it.
