Did any of you get to see the light effects from the snow last night?

Wasn't that crazy? We watched that driving home from Albertville. The best display we saw was on the section of highway 61 from Cottage Grove to the Wakota Bridge. All of those lights they are using for the road construction were reflecting, and being so close, they looked like huge pillars in the sky. It kind of reminded me of Close Encounters Of The Third Kind. :eek:

For those of you who want to replicate the synchronized Christmas lights: http://www.snopes.com/photos/arts/lights/xmaslights.asp That's probably not going to work, so you'll have to type it into your bar yourself. Or maybe someone can fix it for me?

Took the kids to see Yours, Mine and Ours last night - the first one is way better- I don't suggest seeing it on the big screen- not a great movie but I still got teared up, damn it anyway!

Not exactly, but probably would work too. If you go to the link I posted and then click on the search engine and type in "The Light Before Christmas", it's a little different. The interesting thing is, to hear the music, you have to be one a radio frequency.

the lights last nite were freaky....As I drove by the downtown airport the beacon freaked me out...

every 10 secs. just a huge streak of light shooting up as High as you can see.....just cooler

thats what I saw- I thought it was the beacon but I saw it in 2 locations: near Mounds and again south east of Showplace16 and Gertens

oh man, ot. that's nothing. you should have seen the lights from the zoo. they created a column of light straight up in the air as far as you could see. wish i'd have had my camera.

in that last picture: that was the group of us guys singing along to the karaoke singer singing "paradise by the dashboard lights"

doesn't look like anybody is singing to me....

oh. we were.
