I agree that Saturday might be better. Keep in mind that the Super Bowl will probably be during the hunt next year though, rather than on the day of the rehash.

I woulda liked to of seen more of you this year in the parks and wish we coulda spent more time in the bars together. we were always on opposite sides of places.

If I can, I will try to be one of those people, however, Im not sure how much I can participate this coming year. I was told by a wonderful friend that if I'm in hell to keep walking (something like that). hopefully I'll make it to the other side.

I also want to thank everyone for being awesome and always stepping up to help bring things and donate and just making efforts to get together through out the entire hunt. Thank you to everyone who donated to the lodge and prizes - it all helps. I don't even care if you just showed up with nothing!! I'm glad to see all your faces - we aren't alone out there.

So who took group photos at the Rehash Bash? It would be good to get one of those for our website.

You don't need to thank me for being awesome....

Its what my sponsors pay me to do, and what the fans expect...

Heres an old family recipe...

It dates back thousands of years...

Toast: How to make

Ingredients:

bread,(sliced)

butter or other toppings as desired

access to a toaster

FYI-be sure slices are thin enough to fit in toaster slots

Directions:

place sliced bread into slots on toaster .

adjust knob for desired browning time.(if your toaster is so equiped)

push slide bar down and wait.

when toast pops up butter it(or add other toppings as desired) and it is ready to eat

Number Of Servings: repeat procedure until enough toast is prepared

Preparation Time: depends on desired browning

I'll repost it tonight. Ares created used broken code and my 10 tries to post didn't work. After I let him know there was a problem, he fixed someone else's code so that it works.

There. Fixed that for ya.

oh and today is the day the domain registrar change is supposed to go through. i have everything set up at the new place, but who knows if they will retain those settings when the change happens; if not, there may be a few hours of downtime while the internet updates.

Want to throw this out there to see if anyone is interested at all...

As you may (or may not) know, the Royal Guard host their annual kickoff party the same night as our Pre-Dig event... There were many last year in the carnival world that heard about our gathering and wanted to stop by but it got to be too hard to do both.

The Commander of the guard asked if we would be interested in combining the two parties as they are looking for a bigger audience as well to introduce the new incoming guard...

I told him that I would throw it out on the boards to get feedback... so what is everyones opinion here?

I would love to but the Problem I see with it is the fact that dont they charge to get in to there Event?!?! and Then comes the Problem of me running in to people I really dont want to see!!

also keeping that in mind I was also thinking That I know the People that own the Mounds theater! and we could have booze there if we all just chipped in on the booze!!

but then again I dont mind having a place the Services food and booze!

the other thing that is a turn off that our party will have to be able to co excites and I dont know that some of us can!! lol

No names Iceman!!

Is there an early end time like the Vulcan Victory Dance had?

Obbs was allowing us to party til 3 am if we want.

cost to get in is a factor.

and do they already have a location reserved?

I heart the blue and white

Usually the guards charge as it is a fundraiser for them... but they also only get about 30-50 "regulars" and count heavily on the general public...

When I said we have close to 100 they were surprised our group was that large and I told them we don't charge but needed a place with food and drink at reasonable prices.

They have not secured a place yet and the conversation started when I asked where they were going so we could maybe avoid trying to book the same venue... both venues they (and I) were looking at are willing to work something out.

Obbs was wonderful to us, but I was looking at other options since I did hear complaints about it being too small, people couldn't move around to talk and it got too hot in the basement.

But as I stated before - want to hear feedback.

Well I think if we are going to look at a few to get in we will lose alot of people showing to the Predig!!

Unless I see the fact that we are getting a HOLE Place for the Night!! tell we are ready to leave!!

like renting a hall or something like that but then if thats the case I would think we would have to look for food!! and Catering!! if thats the way we are going!! but put money in to something else I am not in on! but It is not that they are a good cause and stuff but I dont know!

NO there would be NO CHARGE...

I made that very clear to them that Cooler Crew would have no charge to "get in"..

Well hell in that case The More the Merrier I say!!

if there is no fee I am happy to run the 2 together! and it looks good for us that We are not what the PP boards say we are that We are just a big click that no one is welcome to!!

as long as we can find a place that lets us act a fool like I do!! then fine by me!!!

but we would have to figer out One hell of a big place to do it! that is going to treat us as good if not better then Obbs Did!!

I really hate the fact that Obbs is SO SMALL!!! and the other thing that would be kool if Lilman Could do the Dj deal again if he wants to!

because I think Supporting one of our own is a big thing!!

Yarusso's would treat us good - but there's no way in hell they'd shut down a stream of Saturday night eats so that we could socialize. Their back dining room is a wee bit smaller than Obb's basement. Asses and elbows everywhere.

AH Ya !! I would love if Yarusso's was big enugh for us and would work with us!! I would be really willing to bet they would do a Privet party for us but We are Way to big for them!!!

I guess I didn't have any trouble with Obbs and didn't hear anything bad about the evening. I don't like the idea of moving around every year for pre-dig. There was no charge for the venue, we got a discount on drinks and a banner. I like supporting the "little guy" or ma and pop places and they treated us good. Not bad enough to move I guess- I like the big tv and not a lot of people were dancing anyhow, there was a seperate entrance for smokers and to go outside which was nice. There just wasn't enough room for a group picture but we made it work just like we do at the masonic lodge with the poles in the way. I don't think we will have more people than last year.

McGoverns had a good size basement - which could always be reserved if people wanted to go back - no drink deals if I recall.

Matty B's was ideal with dance floor, picture size room, drink specials and a fireplace. and that extra room (the Capital Room) just for us. wish we could get that back again.

Anyone talked to the Burger Emporium place that took over Matty B's? I think it's more a restaurant now that would close early, but I dunno 'cause I haven't been in there.

I have not would not go in there because Any place that trys selling a burger for the Price that they have is UNAmerican!!

as HELL!!

Who in there right mind is going to pay 10 bucks for a burger and Chips???? that is NUTS!!!!!

It sounds like a place Jake would Open!!

I thought Obbs said we could have the whole place next year. My 2 cents says stay seperate from the guards. Stay at Obbs. Or have both if we get the whole place?

I agree with Mikey. I think we would lose some of the "culture" (for lack of a better word) of the predig if we combine our party with the guards.

I'm kinda bummed the old Burger Time drive thru in Elk River got replaced by a Sonic. That used to be the cheapest eats in town - a whole 1/4 lb combo and LARGE soda for $3.50

I think that Burger Time is coming to the Twin Cities. If I am not mistaken, I read it in this week's Pioneer Press Eat section. Maybe I am wrong. Burger Time is really good. I have no problem paying $10.00 for a burger if it is good. The best burger in town is 7.95 at The Nook: The Nookie Supreme Burger!!

Food's good. Facility is very noisy.........concrete floors and packed with so many people everyone has to yell. Be sure to ask for silverware if you want any, as they don't bring any out unless you ask.
