Pre-Dig Gig, Rehash Bash and other Cooler events

I just got a Merry Christmas text yesterday from Hayward.
He is gonna try to make it to Pre-Dig. I gave him the 411.
I have not heard that expression in a long time.
It reminds me of rainbows for some weird reason.
The reason I ask is that if newbies come - sometimes it's intimidating when meeting new people (especially when everyone else knows each other) and you'll usually recognize someone's screen name before a face. I know I was shy when I came to my first PDG and only got the nerve to talk to 4-5 people.

Maybe some of the powers that be want to start a folder for that here? No posting thread just pictures/names, kind of like what you do for the clues folder.
anyone who wants to send updated info (since its old, and i don't have anything close to everyone), shoot it to jdm at visi dot com. what the "current" page has is your pf avatar, a photo of you, your screen name, and a blurb of info about yourself.
some people have their real names, email addresses, history with the hunt, other hobbies, etc.
from what i do have, i'll be filtering out email addresses (unless explicitly told not to) to keep spam down. so if you want that sort of contact information to be known, let me know.

Meet the Cooler Crew
not gonna stay that way, but it'll work for now. of course, given recent events i can't say how much i'm expecting to be able to work on a real face-name matchup, but it'll work.
They have done Nothing but be helpful in Every way last year with the Rehash and this with all the help they are giving to MM and her family!
I think someone should talk to them about getting the Whole place I know that we would have enough room there and they would go out of there way to help anyway they can I know it!!
we went there tonight for the Irish wake and the gave use tons of free food and they have done so much!!
I don't know about the rest of you but I think As far as the money goes they are Our home for the Cooler Crew!!!
And I think I may but I kinda doubt it stop by Obbs but I thin for the Pre-Dig I will be at Yarusso's!!!
Pro's to Yarusso's is the fact that if we do get the Whole place we can have the Music set up in the back room with room to dance and party and stuff then out in the other half you can sit and talk!! with out it being to loud!!! also the fact that if you dont like a song or something you can get away from it!
the Food is great and CHEEP the Drinks are good price its more centrally located to get on the Freeway and also if you need to go to the dinner after then you have the fact it is so close! and hell walking distance for that mater!!
the Con's to Obbs Is the Low room and SMALL ROOM!! If you rember last year there where half of the CC upstairs last year and didn't know that the Pic was going on and so alot of us missed it!! Also It is to loud in that basement! to talk that again is why half of us where up stairs!!
So I for one will be at Yarusso's!
sorry to upset the heard but you should know by now if I dont like it I am going to be heard! and I know there are a few others that feel the same way as me!!!
dont know if they will speak up but hay I guess I will see what happens for the pre-dig! Right!?!

Anyone trying to get something for the rehash? Or are we going to be outside? (Hope not)
For all we know, Obb's might have donated food for Mysical if asked. It doesn't seem fair to me to pull the rug out from under them this late in the year - going back on a commitment - whether or not they have printed anything up and because someone else also accomodated The Cooler Crew in a different manner.
As the years continue to go by more associations with area buisnesses will be formed. Would it be right to continually disregard past loyalty to us because a new association was good to us in a different manner? What if the MN Music Cafe donates one night's profit to Mystical? Would they then be approached and Yarusso's dumped?
Maybe a couple or three 'Heads could noodle up a list of our wants/needs and do a pro?con list for both Obb's and Yarusso's. Then present the list to both places to see which locale could best meet The Crew's needs.
And going on past history... It would probably be a good idea this year to not make any promises for subsequnt years to the owners of where ever we land.
Maybe Yarusso's could be where everyone hangs out waiting for the Clue...
