ok, this has always bugged me.

WHY, does a candidate stay up in their hotel room or "hidden away" somewhere while the votes are being tallied?

They wait to come down and join supporters and "par-te'" until they've been told if they won or lost.

I felt bad for some of those people (like at O Garas) yeah they were having a good time, but why should a politician make them wait to see them and congratulate them on a job well down wether they win OR lose!! Some may want to go home- they've been there waiting and in some cases drinking and dancing for hours BEFORE the politician even makes an appearance. By the time the politician comes out to speak I'd be ready to go home.

The Independents did it right! hang out with everyone the whole night through good or bad.

Thats what I intend on doing on election night in 2008, when I run for president....

I'm gonna be hanging out at my campaign headquarters (probably either Cabs bar here on the East Side, or the amphitheatre at Phalen) with "the people" all night long...

This includes the chicks too.

ThoseMedallingKids - ( PFID:2cc7ea64) - 03:36am May 24, 2005 PST (# 509 of 586)

I would have gotten away with it too, if it weren't for ThoseMedallingKids!

Clue 1

The Mystery of Zephy's Missing Medal

Zephy's lost his medal and it's made him sad

There 'twas but one choice that he had

In order to best solve this mystery

He flagged down the coolerest kids in history

His own kids, a lil' roaster and Sarah

Tommy and Joey, as well as another Sarah

Natalie was Diggin' Dom with Hannah and Emmy

Meg saw this one guy with Lisa n' Amy

Warning, whatta peanut that lil' Bella!

Beans? Who would eat 'em up but Alibaba?

Six siblings that might drive the weakest of people up a wall

I'd have to be outta my mind to remember the names of 'em all

Two little girls couldn't make it- blame Kitch

There were twins but I couldn't tell which was which

Those medalling kids got there in a mystery machine

A mystery it travelled with no one over sixteen

It wasn't Tim the hunter or Regman, Kollin or Kris

Since they're too old to be a part of this

Zephy told the junior hunters that if they were smart

Paying respect to his brothers was the best way to start

I am wondering who made the Dreamsicle branded popsicle. I asked Popsicle (the company - now under Unilever Co.) and they had stated that they do not make it, nor had they made it. They have only ever made the Creamsicle.

If anyone could find this out, it is you, oh holy one of wonders.

In 1925, Epperson sold his rights to the Popsicle to the Joe Lowe Company in New York. The Popsicle gained popularity very quickly first made with birch wood sticks and selling for just a nickel. Later the twin Popsicle became available. This model had two sticks so that children could share the treat. Epperson may have also invented this version, and is said to have at least inspired the creation of subsequent frozen treats such as the Fudgsicle, Creamsicle and Dreamsicle.

Consolidated Foods Corporation acquired the Popsicle brand in 1965. In 1986, U.S. operations of Popsicle Industries became part of the Gold Bond Ice Cream Company of Green Bay, Wisconsin. In 1989, Unilever bought Gold Bond, and Popsicle became part of UnileverÂ’s Good Humor division.

in 1923, Epperson decided to apply for a patent on his “frozen ice on a stick.” He decided to call the novelty the “Eppsicle” ice pop. He also began producing the treat in several different flavors. A father by then, his children had begun referring to the Eppsicle as the Popsicle. Later he officially changed the name. That name has stuck for nearly a century.
