Is it me or does anyone else think that Bill, Dave and Kirk are having their own medallion hunt upstairs right now? I mean they have the actual medallion so why not?
hehehe I remember them digging in the hole that everyone dug and refilled and dug again and refilled - that was a cool day to have so many finders in Como at once.
I was gonna go in to RCHS for a bit tonight but it sounds like my computer is still down, so I will be able to go for a little while anyhow-but not late. Jake will be there too.
There will be visitation for Bill from 4:30 to 8:30 Sunday night at Mueller Funeral Home in White Bear Lake. There will also be visitation from 10-11 on Monday, followed by a service at 11. This will also be at Mueller. Following the service, there will be a procession to Fort Snelling where he will be buried with full honors. Bill requested that people wear Minnesota Vikings apparel for the service. No suits and/or ties to either the visitation or the service.
my boss is actually making me take Monday off whether I want to or not. wow. Becks and I talked about going to both.
I know some are getting together at the Blue Fox on Saturday night too because Phat Pearl is playing - so going out Sat night Sun day and night and Mon? I don't think my body can do it all.

Funeral Service 11 AM MON 3/31 at Mueller Lake Mortuary, 4738 Bald Eagle Ave, White Bear Lake. Bill requests finest Vikings attire – no suits, no ties! Full notice on SUN.
no one has mentioned it.I've been so worn out and busy lately that I spaced it and when I realized it I was disapointed that someone else didn't step up.
I know we are all getting "funeral"-ed out so to speak so I understand if you can't or just don't want to donate this time around.
Bill is CoolerCrew for Gods Sake!
There will be flowers there from all of us.
sorry for the frustration- I'm really sad that Bills not gonna be with us next year. I'll be at the wake tonight. see some of you there.
For reasons I won't go into right now, I can't donate towards flowers but if someone could let me know what I owe, I'll be able to do something in a month or so.
I'm sure the Cooler Crew will be well represented. I wasn't able to get to the visitation tonight. If I could, I would have, but it just isn't in the cards.
But I am going to my world after vist. tomorrow!!!!
I will be trying to make it there I would like to make it to the end but no car!! to do it with!! can I ride with someone from the home to Ft. snelling?? and maybe back to my car PLEASE!!! I want to be there I have missed to much!!!! :crying:  :crying:
if your there ice, there is probably Cooler going back to WBL.
there is a luncheon in West St Paul after Fort Snelling.
I think Heaven is snowing these heavy tears of joy today to have Bill there! Its gonna be a beautiful day. I had a dream last night that Bill showed me his 1969 button under his sweatshirt, letting me know that he's alright. everything is alright. thanksBill.
Just (relatively speaking) got back from the internment at Fort Snelling. I got acosted by a guy in a little golf cart when I got there (before everyone else) who asked me what funeral I was there for. I told him, and suprisingly, he told me where to park to catch up. So I start playing a game on my phone, and I look up, and there's bill - the entire procession came in and I didn't notice, and they parked the hearse right next to me.
The service was a traditional military funeral - very brief, 21 gun salute, and very solemn. Jake, Me2, Me2's husband, MedHunter, Becksie and Nick were all in attendance.
I was struck by the snow, both literally and figuratively. We always end up forgetting about the early spring snowfall, but I thought how fitting that King Boreas took his one last shot at defeating the Vulcans on today of all days, when another legend of the Winter is laid to rest - so that we could have a final memory of Bill as we should remember him: with a smile in his heart and surrounded by winter.

I really liked looking through Bill's medallion hunt book at the visitation. That was really cool! And seeing him with his shovel in the video on the TV was cool too.

Bill looked really peaceful and was smiling...there were sure a lot of Vikings fans there (including Mr Med Hunter)!
There was a sizeable turnout for Bill's funeral, interment, and luncheon. There was a police motorcycle escort all the way from WBL to Ft Snelling! Probably 50 cars in the motorcade. Despite the snow, nobody seemed in any hurry to want to leave Bill. Me2 and I wrote down his plot # so we can go visit him when the weather is warmer.
It was very fitting for it to snow today! Bear said it just right...thanks, Bear
I want to thank the Cooler Crew for the beautiful arrangement of flowers that you sent to my dads funeral. Bill was passionate about his love for the medallion hunt and he will be missed by all of us.
I'll be ok
We'll miss you, Bill...
