Remember, the rules are the same as the Med Hunt.

Which means they'll wait until the 11th clue to move it to a different park.

i can think of something sticky, but i should hope they didn't use that ;) actually i'm thinking its where i spent tuesday morning digging. in the rose bushes around the river side of the entrance to harriet island!

Sticky could be the woodsy area.

Eww.. I can just imagine Ares! I've heard about the sticky things you've found!

oh sticky=wooded, that makes sense.

But in that case it could still be @ 20 parks!

hey! we don't find sticky things. only wrappers. removed before they become, uh, sticky.

Fri, 02/07/2003 - 10:29 PM Permalink

Sticky could be a candy bar that's been warmed...maybe a Mounds bar?

You find gum wrappers?

Pets? The first letters o'that clue spell 'pets.'

Phalen. Ittiz Phalen.

No, it spells "pest" which means it's at Como.

Well it seems we have a selection of Highwood Hills, Highland, and Hillcrest left. Then again, it doesn't actually say it starts with an H, just that it has an H which could mean somewhere in the name. Otherwise wise Highwood Hills and Hillcrest both look reasonably good.

Yep, I made it here... just watching over the discussions of each group. The PP writers must have a lot of fun!

If the 'h' is really lowercase that is either a mistake or it is NOT the first letter of the park---2 observations... an 'h' looks like a chair - and there is an 'h' in C'h'erokee - also 'mapped upper' and tennis make me think Cherokee. also they mentioned the word KEY.

Now at HIGHLAND - there is the disc golf game
just the mention of HIGH-upper terrain
music and cotton candy could be the circus there
heard there is a tennis court there but cnt picture where they really are-think if they have to do with HIGHLAND school than thats too far and this park should be ruled out.

MAPPED-UPPER first made me think of STATE FAIR GROUNDS but the first clue says its in a PARK.
so then I would think Langford is in the UPPER part of the St Paul MAP along with South St Anthony. they both have tennis. Langford has no 'h' in it and South St Anothony may be able to see a DJ or KSTP/KS95 tower from there.
The last clue #4 tells us obviously to stay away from COMO! but maybe stay near the north? 'mapped upper'

NOW Harriet has an 'h' -it used to have a zoo- on a map that whole area looks like it is on the same 'level' terrain ?? NO TENNIS though

Linwood has no 'h'

I like South St Anthony and Cherokee

according to my super deluxe version of the guide, the tennis courts are in the area of the reservoirs there.

It's buried 20 feet under the reservoirs! Let's have a good ol' fashioned hole diggin!

regman says they're talking about a dirt bike path and in case it gets messy means up the frog's behind so its at como!

if it is highland this could be a reference to UPPER ST. DENNIS which runs into it.

Baseball snack = peanuts or hot dogs, in my brain anyhoo.

Take me out to the ball game, take me out to the crowd Buy me some peanuts and cracker jack

To me, those are baseball snacks.

a peanut is in the shape of a figure 8

I like Battle Creek too

if you don't stay on the path you can fall into the creek - and upper being upper afton rd?? is there a baseball field there-

I am winging this without my guide.

Clue 1
Two cooler crews I never knew,
Than “the coolerheads” and our Posse
To stay out of the dark, search in a park
While seeking the puck so glossy

Park in St Paul

Clue 2
Clues ahead can be tricky,
And the terrain in your tread is sticky
Go for a spin, Let the music begin
Just in case it gets icky.

Cotton Candy & Carousel

Clue 3
Mapped, upper terrain's the key
You're close if you see some trees.
The disc is near if you can hear
Tennis balls bouncing so free

see the forest area and tennis court in COMO where there is a higher area nearer to the backroad that takes you by the dutchoven)

Clue 4
Elimination is the way
Parks with “H” are here to stay
Stay away from zoos, follow the clues
The medal will be your prey

don't look near the zoo area at Como
look near the 'H'umane Society with the 'prey' word used too

Clue 5
Watch for a coin while using pedals
But focus not much off the treadles
For ride not carefully on this path,
And you'll be forced to take a bath

don't look far off a path
don't go too far you'll end up in the COMO pool

Clue 6

A baseball snack's a shape to know
As you dig around in snow
Find sixty-four, hop on and score,
If you’re in a rush to go

The frog pond is more the shape of a penis than a peanut
HOP ON= FROGGY POND
note: this post is a backwards 64 ;)
OR maybe its just telling us to look near a baseball field in general
where there is sledding and 'hop on' is a term used for 'hopping on a train'? hense...McMurray Field near by

Allison Wonderland

Ok, here's my guess...

Clue 1
Two cooler crews I never knew,
Than “the coolerheads” and our Posse
To stay out of the dark, search in a park
While seeking the puck so glossy

It's in a park, possibly one you can't entirely search at night because it's gated off.

Clue 2
Clues ahead can be tricky,
And the terrain in your tread is sticky
Go for a spin, Let the music begin
Just in case it gets icky.

You'll need to go somewhere with "stick-y" terrain such as an area with trees, or maybe even some...brush. Going for a spin could be a bus turnaround.

Clue 3
Mapped, upper terrain's the key
You're close if you see some trees.
The disc is near if you can hear
Tennis balls bouncing so free

Look for a park in the northern part of St. Paul. Some trees would be a Forest. Tennis balls might possibly be heard around the rec center area.

Clue 4
Elimination is the way
Parks with “H” are here to stay
Stay away from zoos, follow the clues
The medal will be your prey

pHalen

Clue 5
Watch for a coin while using pedals
But focus not much off the treadles
For ride not carefully on this path,
And you'll be forced to take a bath

A bike path that goes along a lake, like the one at Phalen.

Clue 6

A baseball snack's a shape to know
As you dig around in snow
Find sixty-four, hop on and score,
If you’re in a rush to go

Take bus route 64 up to Phalen ("Hop on") and look for the coin hidden inside a snack wrapper from a baseball game.

The medallion is a button about the size of the Winter Carnival buttons that says "kiltyj's 2002 Mock Hunt Medallion" on it. There is also a confirmation number on it. If you find it, email me with the confirmation number at kiltyj@pconline.com, or post it up on the board.
