The puppy has gotten big enough now so he can see his reflection in the front window here. He keeps woofing at his reflection. Funny to hear that. At first I thought he must see a deer or something - but it was just himself.
Ok, someone told me the name of the bar was Zippers? he said it closed down over the summer cuz they didn't pay bills and taxes or something, so won't be checking that one out I guess :frown:
I do know a guy that's looking to buy a bar,(he used to own the outdoorsman in cambridge) might have have to see if he knows about this one, woody's is for sale and he was looking at that but I guess he wanted too much money for it.
If Mora has a hunt I will be there for sure. The bar we used to own is up that way. Some of good friends own it now - it's McBee's have you been there?.
Who was the big winner at Me2's poker night? Wish I could have made it. I played once with you guys at Redbear's and got wiped out. That was my White Castle money! Anyone up to anything next weekend? I am up for getting together for a frosty brew. Have a good week.
I'm gonna try and see Hostel at the MOA in a bit. Pretty good stuff huh OTiS? My Tarrentino expectations are high for this one. He needed to get back to the gore. Anyone else see it yet?
There had to be every single Somali, Ethiopian and Eritrean in Minnesota at the MOA movie area tonight. I mean 1000's! The whole area was packed!
I pulled up and seen a fight get broken up in the parking ramp where there was a few groups watching it and one security guard breaking it up.
I decided to park and head in thinking it was an isolated incident. I was wrong. After making my way back to the movie area, it felt like all the movies got out all at once since there were so many people all over the place. Once I finally got back to the movie waiting area. I couldn't move and there was no turning back. I wiggle my way up to the ticket counter where there are tons of kids bitching at the teller about her not selling them tickets to Hostel. Needles to say they were hostile. Then all of a sudden there was this big mob of people jamming in from where I came from screaming about a big fight that was happening that involved the police. Keep in mind that I'm the only white dude there! Another fight breaks out on the other side of the area. I push my way out and see two helpless security guards trying to calm people down with no one listening. They had genuine fear in their eyes.
I asked if they were OK on my way out and they said that they called for back up but they were tied up too. I felt bad leaving them there but I knew they could get more cops if needed. I would just screw up something if I stayed. Like myself for one.
I do feel a bit guilty. I hope I don't read something in the paper tomorrow about those guys getting slammed. I would hope that they realize that their $5.50/hr job doesn't include hazard pay and beat it out of dodge.
There were all kinds of pushing and shoving all the way out to my car. I get into the parking ramp and all I hear is car alarms going off. Luckily one wasn't mine.
I asked one of the guys what was going on and he said it was some sort of holiday. I need to look it up.
Sorry so long. It must be the adrenaline kicking in.
I do remember this back when I had a number of Muslims working for me. They never knew the exact date until only a couple of days before hand. It had to do with the moon phase and other factors in their holy land. http://www.isna.net/
So, is it like Good Friday? I don't know religion so don't laugh.
The first day is the primary holiday, on which men, women, and children are expected to dress in their finest clothing and perform prayer (Salah) in a large congregation
I heard people praying for their lives anyway.
The last time I felt overcome by a mob was when I just came in late to a Slayer show where they told the upper balcony to come down onto the floor. I was all by myself, then wham! thousands of drunk stoned rowdy thrashers came barreling down on my ass. I stuck to the wall like glue as they flew by. Needles to say the security guards didn't like this and all hell broke out. Fights everywhere and all kinds of people got kicked out and arrested.
It did make for some better seating once I finally got into the auditorium anyway.
OMG - WTF - Glad you made it back home safe CM. Next time maybe try Wynnsong in New Brighton or one of the Roseville theaters to see a movie? I don't know - I stay home
Thanks - I usually go to the Karasotes Showplace theaters in IGH. Very nice place. Unfortunately their last showing was too early for me and the MOA had the last showing around town. I think this was just an isolated incident is all. I do believe it was because of the holiday. I'm assuming the parents wanted all the kids out of the house so they could pray and celebrate themselves.
Or spend the next hour blowing snow.
Goodnight and SCDs to cooler heads everywhere!
that weird..the place is brand new...
sounds like a new gig for u.....
a cooler???
oh cool.where do we invest our 10k??
I suck at poker...
(or do i? maybe i'm just lying because thats what your supposed to do?)
Or I probably would have made it, too..
no... actually thats not why I didnt go...
other things came up, and I actually for a change, had some plans....
holy crap!
man I hope that isn't the guy that made the place almost worthless..
it used to be the best place in town until they remodeled.
Operation cold feet!!!!

I wanna see how they remodeled my parents old place.

Kind of appropriate I guess.
According to the Article 113 of Labor Code of KR, January 10, 2006 is announced as public holiday in Kyrgyzstan.
