my wife keeps quitting over and over. She says the hardest people to deal with are the ex-smokers. She's probly right. I'm worse than the people who never smoked. I don't know how I ever put up with that filthy habit for 30 years!
I don't really give her that much crap. If she wants to smoke. she's gonna smoke. I'm not gonna stop her. She's gotta stop herself. Thats the only way I quit. I made up my mind and did it. It took me 30 years to decide, but better late than never.
steph- it's a good thing you quit smoking, otherwise I would have had to yell at you, because I like to control everything, even when it has nothing to do with me.
The reason I never could pick up smoking as a habit was that I was so clumsy and would end up setting my hair on fire - burning a hole in my clothes etc - when I would talk and be animated with my hands....
guess that is a plus.
Now a drink on the other hand - just make sure it's not in one of those easy to spill fancy pants martini glasses and we are all good.
I'm going to guess it was the stress of life. If I'm wrong Steph please speak up.
We spent 4 years in Germany. Once Steph left active duty and moved to my post I was deployed alot. Not long term missions but lot of short special operation type deals that just made for more problems.
Again stress. Add to that a single income for a family of 4 from a e-5 soldiers pay and you get fun fun fun. The habit just sorta followed her home.
Steph has always been a trooper though and I give her credit. Shes't dealt with a lot of lifes BS over the last 8 years and shes still going strong.
That makes sense, I have a friend who was in Iraq for two separate 8 month tours and he smoked a lot over there, and he doesn't do it pretty much ever now that he's back.
If I'm wrong Steph please speak up.
You might have just wandered into the bear's den with that one...
She was a smoking maniac when she was still on active duty. She was one of those nuts who would smoke a cig before taking a 8 mile run in the morning.
I could never understand how people did that stuff. Same thing at Jump school.... all these smokers would run out a few minutes before formation and puff up. Then head out and run their butts off.
Steph is pregnant!
Another future hunter is on the way! From what I've seen of your boys - they're going to be awesome big brothers.
I don't need to keep my mouth shut
congrats!!!
talk about a plan....having a full time designated driver!! woot
Yeah, it was my plan all long to be the DD for the next 2 weeks!!!! YAY~!!
I love my DD.
Winding up for ball three......
We have two little boys who have been reading the where babies come from etc books we got them. High speed pictures and such. They are excited.
Congratulations!
congrats - glad someone found the time for some fun around between thanksgiving and christmas..
j/k, of course, although i'm curious if shes gonna give it up for the baby.
Shes doing quite well in dealing with not having them too.
Wonder if they're related?
Not really.
Only thing I feel is a little guilty for starting back up again.
Out here you are practically banned from public when doing so.
She was on her way to quitting as it was. But her losing weight took priority.
One big goal at a time.

Just curious, since you quit when you were pregnant the last two times, what made you start back up again after they were born?
I would think that after 9 months or so, you would get used to not smoking.
