I just missed the photo opportunity of a lifetime! Dang it, of course I forgot my camera at home...
I just saw a man in a yellow chicken suit walk into the bar across the street from my work. I don't know if I've seen it all yet, but I'm getting closer everyday.
I can see 4 that I really want to see And thanks for calling me old red as If I dont feel that way as it is!!!

Today was my Friday. Tomorrow after a couple errands we need to run, we are heading north to the Land of Ahhhhs. I need the peace and change of scenery. We might even get up to Duluth so I can connect with the great pond.
come on over, and ride the bus with me... by the time we get there we'll be half trashed...
me and steve are talkin about doing face paint like we did last year...
dunno if you saw any of the pics from then, but we did green/black face paint, to match our DX jersey's and then we bought out every single glow stick and glow necklace that Dollar Tree had....
we were a walking party, down on Harriet Island, man....
Our new deck is awesome! I hope our camera is in the box we drag back and forth. If it is, I'll have to get some pictures to share.
Inks picked up our carpet squares this morning that we are putting on our porch here. Because of that, we drove the pickup truck north. Me, Inks and the dog. The dog is used to having his own seat in the truck. He wasn't so excited that there was another rider today. That is truly one funky truck - but Inks loves it so it's all good.
The Minnesota Street Rod Association is having a gathering at the State Fair grounds this weekend. We live not too far from there so we've been seeing many of the old cars running around town.
Last night, I was coming past the fair grounds and people were already lining up with lawn chairs for a night of watching the traffic. Free entertainment if you like that sort of thing.
Thats Right Fokes BACK TO THE 50'S This weekend!!!
ONe of the largest car shows IN THE WORLD RIGHT IN YOUR BACK YARD!!! come one come all bring the little ones and see the BURN Out contest!!!! on the midway!!! go to porky's and see them all for free!! !lol God I need to start righting raido ads or some thing LOL!! alot of my posts sound like I am trying to sell you something!!
I have had that saved on my computer at home for probably a year. It was sent to me as a power point file. I play that at least once a week and laugh myself silly.
I've enjoyed seeing the streetrods about town as well... matter of fact was just talking about them this morning....I actually wouldn't mind hanging out in a chair on the street watching them
I was thinking of going with a group over to the state fair today for it. But I think I just got the cold shoulder treatment, so it's looking like I won't be.

If you guys don't have this in your button collection YOU SHOULD
its from the St Paul Winter Carnival - Midway Carnival that took place when there was no winter carnival - this replaced the winter carnival for a couple of years ---extremely rare pin -
we've been there several times, in the past couple of weeks... and every time we've had crappy service.... walk in, drive thru, you name it...
just happened again tonight...
they told us that they had discontinued an item, even though it was still listed on the menu...
they also... after 10:00 pm, always seem to find reasons why they cant give you ice cream or any cold products what-so-ever....
basically they're just lazy and dont want to run the machine... we noticed, while looking through the window that like 6 or 7 people who should have been working, were sitting around eating burgers and stuff....
they were just going to refund the money for the items that they were too lazy to make... but I said screw it... that was the only reason we came here... just give me it all back...
she messed up on that, trying to give me 2 bucks less.... and then almost refused to do it over....
I ended up going out to a different location, both out of curiosity, and out of pissed-offness....
the item that was "discontinued"?... I ended up being able to order... and all the machinery was working fine....
I mentioned to the chick at the window (who happened to be a manager) what happened at the other place -
her response "Oh yeah... I used to work at that place... they just dont like to work at night time, when nobody important is around to make em do it"
We all had an armful of DVDs when we noticed that the only decent DVD deal was on first rack as you came in. 4/$20
So I told the girls that they could each get 4 and I would get 8. Only to find out that was only good on that one rack. Otherwise the DVD deal sucked. So we put them all back and found them in the VHS side for 10/$20. We only couldn't find one of them that Ali wanted. She ended up spending the $9.88 on that one with her own money. :eyeroll:
$2 for a VHS was OK for me since I still have something that plays them and can transfer if I want to even though the quality will suck.
I know from experience that they lower the prices every week in those going-out-of-business sales. All the crappy movies that are left in 2 weeks will probably only be a buck or two for the DVDs and the VHS will be free.
Pros - You can tape from DVR, VCR or Camcorder on to DVD in various speeds just like a VCR.
Cons - The time it takes to write the info on to the disc is annoying since you don't have any control of the unit while it's doing that. It isn't like a VCR where you just hit stop and eject.
Plus if you get a unit that has both the DVD & VCR there are a number of movies from certain distributors and movie channels that won't record due to copyright protection. But that also goes for playing them as well. It takes me many times to get certain Sony DVD's to even play. It thinks you want to record them onto VHS and stops itself from playing. And this is a Sony player! One more reason to hate Sony. I don't know why I ever bother purchasing Sony. I get depressed every time.
Look for a fast write time and also for upconverting to HD for future TVs if you don't have one already.
soooo, last night I was couch ridden....by myself.... watched Hannah Montana .... didn't realize it was NOT a repeat....then when Im flipping between the repeat of Rescue Me and Gene Simmons she walks in and sits down to hang out with mommy - she really thought it was funny that I like the Disney Channel and watch Hannah Montana alone.
Exactly! :eyeroll:

Geeze, you'd think he'd see something that big. Must have not had cut-outs for the eyes or something.:eyeroll:
Ha
A chicken walks into a pub.
The barman says "Sorry mate, we don't serve poultry in here!"
The chicken says "That's OK, I just want a lager."

I'm confused...how much was the movies you bought at mr. movies??
didn't seem like any deal to me...
unless u wanted to buy VHS tapes...
the DVD seem'd like a rip off.

omg..I freaked when I saw the prices...its cheaper at walmart..
When i told her how much a movie was vs. renting 13 of them at a redbox...she was all for renting them.
you have an dvd-r right?
whats the pros / cons of those??
they usually have deals like that too.... 3 or 4 for 25-30 bucks...
