Yes you can record TV. You can set up timers just like a VCR. I use my DVR instead because it tapes in better quality. You should use an RW disc of course so you can write over it later.

Wasn't last night's Hannah the one where she actually tells that boy who she really is? The girls were all happy and excited when it came on. I just seen the kissing scene and went OOOOOOoooooOOOOOO! Like I used to do during Married With Children.

I loved how the dad was outside on the porch giving them 2 seconds to kiss goodnight and the boy wasnt quick enough -

Hah, no I think you mean you'll be doing the killing.

Just make sure if your daughter(s) bring a boy home that you're cutting up some meat with a butcher knife or something.

Speaking as the mother of four daughters, I think you'll survive. It was actually kind of fun.

I was watching 8 rules for dating my daughter...

I did like the episode where the dad really gave the boy the 3rd degree before he went out on a date...

kid was sweating bullets...

The rules are:

1. Use your hands on my daughter and you'll lose them after.

   2. You make her cry, I make you cry.

   3. Safe sex is a myth. Anything you try will be hazardous to your health.

   4. Bring her home late, there's no next date.

   5. Only delivery men honk. Dates ring the doorbell. Once.

   6. No complaining while you're waiting for her. If you're bored, change my oil.

   7. If your pants hang off your hips, I'll gladly secure them with my staple gun.

   8. Dates must be in crowded public places. You want romance? Read a book.

Heh.

1. In case of emergency, what next of kin should I notify?

2. Do you have any medical conditions or allergies?

3. You don't faint at the sight of blood, do you?

How big of a family do you want to have?

How many diapers can you change in an hour?

What's for dinner?

How much do you make?

Is your mom hot?

How long can you hold your breath?

I watched that, those guys are pretty funny.

Like the one guy that put his truck on "auto pilot" while he's digging around in the back for a coffee mug. He said he'd never end up in the ditch, but later on they're pulling him out.

Together we can make a difference!

Dear Jana,

Can you believe that more than 1.3 million new cancer cases are expected to be diagnosed in the United States this year? Those are staggering statistics, but there is hope. Each of us can do something to save lives and help those already fighting this disease. That’s why I’ve decided to take action against cancer by supporting the American Cancer Society Relay For Life® event right here in White Bear Lake.

Relay For Life is an overnight event that brings our community together to help support the American Cancer Society and its lifesaving mission to eliminate cancer as a major health problem. The Society works hard every day to prevent cancer and save lives by supporting groundbreaking research, affecting public policies that protect us from cancer, and educating people on how to prevent or detect cancer early. The Society helps people with cancer right here in our own community. And our efforts at Relay For Life can help the American Cancer Society to keep working toward a cancer-free future.

I invite you to show your support in the ongoing fight against cancer by joining us for this year’s event. Please click on the link below for more information, including details on the inspirational Survivors’ Lap and the moving Luminaria Ceremony. We hope to see you there! If you can’t join us, will you please visit the site and make a donation to support our efforts? Either way, you will make a real difference in the lives of people facing cancer – and in the lives of the people who love them. Thank you!

psst...

vince mcmahon isnt really dead... that was just a storyline angle...

he was on tv tonight, to speak about Benoit..

but yeah.... really f'n sad....

I met him a few years back, as he was passing through the MSP airport, catching a connector flight.... just happened to be 2 nights after he won the WWE world title for the first time, at Wrestlemania, out in NYC, at Madison Square Garden...

had a chance to speak with him a couple of times after that at various shows around town when WWE was here for stuff....

he was a really nice guy.... real down to earth... really approachable...

Its a damn shame...

I guess he left a show early on Saturday, to fly home for a family emergency.... then he no-showed the Pay Per View on Sunday night....

blah...

just sucks all around.

The Relay For Life has been a life changing experience for me. I dedicate many hours each year to this event in honor of my mother, a cancer survivor. I'd like to invite each and every one of you to experience this spiritual event on July 27th in WBL.

If you'd like more information about Relay For Life or would just like someone to talk your ear off about it, just let me know.

Details of the deaths "are going to prove a little bizarre" when released to the public, Fayette County District Attorney Scott Ballard told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Autopsies were scheduled Tuesday by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation in DeKalb County.

Authorities were investigating the deaths at a secluded Fayette County home as a murder-suicide and were not seeking any suspects.

Investigators believe Benoit, (pronounced ben-WAH) killed his wife and son over the weekend and then himself sometime Monday. The bodies were found Monday afternoon in three different rooms of the house on Green Meadow Lane, in a subdivision off a gravel road about two miles from the Whitewater Country Club.

Ballard told The Associated Press a gun was not used in any of the deaths. But he declined to say how the three died.

"We're pretty sure we know, but we want to confirm it with the crime lab," Ballard said early Tuesday.

The WWE canceled its live "Monday Night RAW" card in Corpus Christi, Texas, and USA Network aired a three-hour tribute to Benoit in place of the scheduled wrestling telecast.

a tribute to a killer.

my uncle was all ready to grill this guy that was going to take my cousin out on her first date, had the whole routine ready when the guy comes to the door and is about 6 foot 3, 245 pounds he's the starting defensive end on the varsity football team. the whole intimidation bit went right out the window.

Kind of sad, really that they ended up doing the tribute to a guy that just killed his family, it looks like. Funny thing is my fiancee and I watched some of it - her reaction was "Murder/Suicide" and mine was "Carbon Monoxide."

The thing is, the wrestling federation knew when they cancelled the event what happened because of the text messages he sent. They called the cops. Yet they said nothing as the TV station ran a 3 hour tribute to to maniac. Really sad if you ask me.

they think he may have killed them on seperate days too.
Tue, 06/26/2007 - 9:26 AM Permalink
Wicked Nick

It was supposed to be a 3 hour monday night raw anyways.

They just changed it up into a tribute show for him - not because he was a maniac, or a killer or any of that other b.s. that people are going to call him....

but rather because of his in-ring accomplishments, and his career in the industry of professional wrestlig. - he was/is considered one of the best ever to step into the ring. and aside from this nasty situation, \was a good guy.

they ran tribute shows for eddie guerrero, when he died, much the same way.... the next day after he died, they changed the pre-planned show into a tribute.
Tue, 06/26/2007 - 10:37 AM Permalink
mrmnmikey

I think it reprehensible to glorify a man who killed his family. Sorry if you think thats "B.S." or whatever. I don't think its B.S!

I don't care how "good" he was.

He's a murderer and should be shunned, not celebrated.
Tue, 06/26/2007 - 11:02 AM Permalink
mrmnmikey

Dying from heart failure is very different from killing yourself after you murder your own family.
Tue, 06/26/2007 - 11:07 AM Permalink
Wicked Nick

I dont think its b.s. that he's a killer. He killed his wife and child, and I agree, that its f**ked up.

the tribute show, however was for his career, not the murders.

i've grown up with wrestling, and have had my share of experiences in matches, also.... Its something I like, so when a guy who I and many others consider to be one of the best, dies - however it happens - please excuse me, if I feel a little saddened. Its not meant to offend you.

I wonder if OJ is going to get a tribute of his on-field accomplishments when he dies? :eyeroll:

It's somewhat similar to Kramer. One bad act can negate your whole great career.

Sadly, that goes with anything in life.

But it can be pulled off. Look at Kirby Puckett. Although his tribute was tarnished by his off-field situation later in life, they were still able to pull it off. But I felt like there was an asterisk next to it the whole time. :frown:

Mikey is probably right, it was poor taste of WWE to run a 3 hour tribute to a guy that killed two people.

Nick is probably right, that they were celebrating the whole career, not offering an endorsement as to how it ended.

overall, very sad, that he kept talking about how important his family is to him. Helluva wrestler, too.

Prior to tonights ECW wrestling on Sci-Fi channel, Vince McMahon spoke, and "apologized" for last nights show...

heres video of what he said...

http://www.wwe.com/content/media/video/vms/none/2007/june22-28/4967786?section=%2F

also...

on last nights Raw show, they started it out with a music and video package, as they often do when a wrestler dies...

heres Benoit's -
http://www.wwe.com/content/media/video/vms/raw/2007/june22-28/4957618

and as I was surfing, I came accross Eddie Guerrero's tribute video...

they actually aired this one, on TV when he died... they also played the same video to Johnny Cash's cover of the Nine Inch Nails song - "Hurt"... but this one fits it better...

I'll never forget - walking into Target Center for that tribute show that night, with Steve and our friend Brandon....

all of the wrestlers surrounding the ring for a 10 bell salute... and all of the video packages with these big strong guys crying.....

I dont know how any of them were able to wrestle that night...

right after we got to our seats they started playing the video, on the titan tron (big screen, above the ramp, where the wrestlers enter)...

this is it... still makes me tear up, nearly 2 years later...

hard to imagine that it was that long ago...
