So I checked EBay to see if anyone was trying to sell off the McDonalds glasses that were just pulled.... McDonalds put out Shrek glasses in 2007 too... we have these.... $20-$25 for them! Looks like we are gonna try to sell the 2007 Shrek glasses we have from before! oh, and no one was trying to sell the new 2010 ones...yet.
<------------Would love for you to give him a job.
I don't need it yet, but the time is a'comin.
I have no education, a skill that doesn't really transfer to the real world, but a strong work ethic.
Doesn't that just scream 'hire me'?
I have a feeling McDonalds is in my near future... Everything I see online wants a 4 year degree. You would not believe how many $12 per hour jobs there are that require a 4 year degree...
Have you applied at Peterbilt in South St. Paul? My brother-in-law works there as a diesel mechanic. Although he might have retired recently. He's been talking about doing that.
It would, if the civilian market's technology was stuck in the 60's. The stuff I work on in the Army is very simplified compared to the real world. We just received our first vehicles with fuse panels a few years ago. (with few exceptions, nothing we've had prior was so advanced.)
The other problem I would have with a mechanic job is that 99% of all places want you to have your own tools. I have around $10,000 in tools (maybe) but I would need a significant amount more to work effectively in a shop.
I am preferring to find something related to what I am going to school for, although it is easy to hold on to that dream while I still have a job...
"Requiring" a four year degree is often a loose term. Some really do require it, but most ads are stating their ideal employee, not the one they're actually likely to find.
Anyone looking to buy a Wii!!! I have one for sale!
it comes with 3 games and 2 Wiimotes and 3 game cube games also included and 2 wireless game cube controllers! also a game cube memory card and all the wires to hook it up!! and sensors!
250 for it all it will hook up to the net and you can do Hulu on it and youtube on it! and all that fun stuff!!
Your absolutly right. Apply any ways! Lots of people will hire you because your a vet. Evidently getting up for work everyday counts for something in the real world.
I signed up for Match.com a week ago. I think I should be worried. The Woman that's supposed to be my 100% match is a divorced daycare provider with 4 small girls of her own. - *eek* :ooh:
Couldn't help noticing 'dogs' was on a separate line - implying something?
That's one scary part about those internet dating sites - there's no 'resume' for their past experiences - you click on what looks like a humble ex-housewife and then find out they've been on everything except the Titanic.
Oh, yeah? Well Colt Seaver would kick both of their axes. And he doesn't have a 'stache or a beard, he could do it with his chest hair tied behind his back...
After years of being single I have to say personal ads were never a winner for me and I don't think I would try them again.
What I would recommend is getting involved with some singles groups. By going out to group events, you get the chance to actually meet people in person, and hopefully get to know them a bit. That way you can decide if you like someone without:
a) them specifically trying to impress you with their dating resume version of themselves.
b) the pressure of feeling like you've already expressed interest in them and now you need to backtrack if you don't like them
c) passing over people you do find interesting because on paper they don't match what it is you think you might want.
I will say if two people are meant for each other, it probably doesn't matter how they meet. However personal ads in fact remarkably impersonal, trying to intellectualize a process that's much more about emotion and chemistry. I think it's far better to go out to singles events. That way, even if you don't find someone, you still got out and had fun. If you do personal ads and you don't find someone, you just feel frustrated.
Allison, my sentiments exactly. Not that I am looking at this time, but I was from 1990-2000, and have seen how things evolved to the present day via friends who ask me to look at their profiles and the profiles of men with whom they are having contact (or thinking of it).
What works best for me, to make friends of all ages and both sexes, is to join groups that interest me - birding, singing, medallion hunting, etc.
If I click with someone, while out doing what I already know I love to do, so much the better.
Once again though, when you buy cheap, you get what you pay for.
Probably a good idea to check your profile and see if you have this going out on your feeds.
And whatever else one has to do to remove it from their computer, IF they have the virus.
All FYI.

My girlfriend has her truck repairs done there. It seems like a good place. Might be right up your alley.

Wait...he just shaved...but that means... :ooh:
Magnum P.I. wasnt evil, was he?
I'm pretty sure that Magnum P.I.'s moustache would have a pretty evenly fought match, versus Chuck Norris' beard....
