From the sounds of it they offered the hours to the newest part time person hired with out even consulting me when I've recently spoken with my boss about my need to find another job or get on a day shift here. I need out of here! Everytime something comes out of my bosses mouth you can be freaking sure she'll do the opposite. I'm fed up. I'm so stressed out about my job situation and the fact it needs to change and soon that I just want to scream.
wwwwhoa, one of those kind of people. You say one thing and they HAVE to do the opposite, even if it will hurt them in the end (like you quiting). They can't stand it, they internally have to want the opposite you do no matter the consequence. I DON'T UNDERSTAND a persons reasoning to think they have to have this control that only makes their life and others negative.
If there is anyone in the Cooler that will admit they are like this? I'd love to talk with you and ask you wwwwwhy you feel this deep desire where you can't just say 'yes' sometimes. just agree once in a while with a positive action. Have you ever just stopped and asked yourself wwwwhy you say 'no' all the time when it truly is no big deal to say yes or sure. Anyone?
mad dog I got something to post for ya after Thanksgiving lol!! on the unmod thread lol I think your will look it if you haven't all ready seen them lol!
BTW, I've been checking with anyone I know and I still haven't ad any serious bites, but there is an opening in my department at 3M. Basically doing printer maintenance and repair. You need some basic computer knowledge and some mechanical aptitude. The guy is leaving at the end of this week, so I imagine they'll want to fill the spot quickly.
It is contract work and doesn't pay terribly great, but the best opportunity is to work there for 6 months to a year and then get an HP job from the experience you gain.
I was watching LA ink this weekend with my Daughter and during the show Bells says you should do that Daddy, I just laughed but the seed was planted. So this morning I printed up some work samples and took a drive to one of the tattoo shops in town here.
Showed the owner my work and she loved it, told me she had 2 apprentices already but that nether knew how to draw. She asked me to do 10 pencil drawings and come back and see her about an apprenticeship. Very excited this could be a fun job.
Even if she doesn't hire you to tattoo, there's no reason why you can't be an on-staff illustrator; people pay you to draw out what they want then the tattoo guys do it.
She seems very interested was very impressed by my work and her two apprentices do not know how to draw. To me that would be a priority if you wanted to Tattoo.
um. yeah. sarah has been in contact with some shops too because of her work. so yeah having an artistic talent seems kinda critical to the job. i'm personally no fan of ink for myself and would never get one, but man some of the work you see on la ink and the like should be framed.
It mite Some tattoo shops want you to have them so you can tell them what it feels like!
but not alot of them will have a problem with it! plan on spending a hand full of money up front when you get the job if ya do you have to have all your own tattoo guns and stuff! And if you do get offered a job let me know I will check with a few of my friends to find out if it is a good offer for ya! I have a few Friends that are shop owners up here in the cities!!
but I Say GOOD LUCK!! you have great art and tattooing is a hole different ball game! then drawing!! lol
Get Pig skin and your tattoo guns and get to work seeing if it is for you!
also dont buy CHEAP TATTOO GUNS!!! You really get what you pay for big time in tattoo guns! I can set ya up with a great site on the net to look at if you get the job or just want to look let me know! I can get you a ton of info!
Take it from me I have so much Ink and more to come lol! and have tried to tattoo my self lol!
its a tough call. on the one hand you'd never be inking yourself anyway. on the other, that doesn't preclude you from doing the work and having someone else doing the inking. i honestly don't know.
I have been stressing about getting the money for a Tattoo kit and now the licensing. My Brother came through I am going to sell him My AK 47, so I am happy again LOL.
or knows about this but maybe some of you want to check it out!!

Sometimes I think Americans in general have a really distorted view of the value of a dollar. Myself included.
