geez...when you got 2 little girls I fight against colds all the time and year around.

I'm not a medicine person....So I've been "given" and doing the Cold ease cough drops, Nyquil/Dayquil lots of water... sat with my face in front of the humidifier and just tried to get lots of rest.

I'm normaly lucky.... With Thomas being in 1st Grade... he brings home he fair share of crap to share with Joey and Pay Me. I normaly don't get sick.... But as the wife tells you.. when I do get sick I'm just a big baby. I hate it!

Kitch.. didn't think about V-8. I have some in the pantry.. I'll have to chug it and see if it helps.

I got an idea for a mock hunt this year all the clues would be Illustrations.
CM was talking about using pictures for clues some place, what does the crew think of this idea?

Wish I had stocked up on Mr. Gericke's "elixer" when he was still alive.  He was the local pharmacist here.

Dawg and I got flu shots this year cus we had a new born, I have never had one before was always worryed I would get sick from it.

I used to get sick from my Flu shots in the Army.... That was pretty much the only time I got sick.

I got the shot in October and havent got sick yet.

I guess we've all had our 'Mr. Gericke's elixer' before but I don't think my body can handle that stuff that way it could when I was younger.  I still get flashbacks every now and again.  ;-)

Thanks for the V-8 and chicken soup ideas. I tend to like the more natural approach as well.  I love the spicy hot V-8!  I've been drinking that since it came out except Simon's doesn't carry the hot version so it looks like I might need to actually go to a food store to pick it up.  I don't know what I'm gonna do.  Maybe Holiday will work just as good. I wonder if a lack of alcohol has anything to do with it. It sure was a coincidence.

I was sick over Christmas it was icky.  Joey went to the DR on Friday for the same icky crud and politely informed the doctor that he thinks he has a computer virus......time to get him away from all electronics:)

We need to add some sort of note to the Pre-Dig-Gig: NO SICKOS! You can't be getting the entire crew sick for the hunt. I'm only kidding of course, but maybe the sickos could wear cones around their necks (like the dog ones) to distinguish themselves...

You know, as soon as I posted that I thought about it and knew someone was gonna say something. Oh well, the idea is to prevent the children from seeing the picture, not commentating on it.

The best remedy out there for just about anything right now seems to be the alkaseltzer cold/flu tabs - they disolve in your mouth.

With those I take an airborne disolvable tab - every 2 hours (tastes like watery tang) and an Emergen'C packet every 6 hours.

I have thought I was coming down with something 3 times this year already - and have knocked it out in the first day by doing that - and getting a little extra sleep.

I spent a weekend in a house with 35 women for a retreat 2 months ago - and followed my above advice and was close to the only one who didn't get sick by the end of the trip.

yeah... I'm sorry about that Kitch... I won't be letting that happen again. Between my schedule swapping/promotion/Grandparents moving up here and Issues with my kids.... it was a total drain on resources.
