It's okay. He's had kidney didease for three years, but a good diet bought him extra time. The turn came very quickly on Memorial Day, and he's not responding to treatment.

i do hear though what that guy is saying though about cleaning out the garage. i'm a pack rat, and did some cleaning this weekend myself. 3-386 motherboards varying in speed from 16 to 40 mhz. a bunch of old i/o cards to go along with 'em. a couple of old tape drives that have been superceded by one that is right now on the verge of being replaced itself for being too small.

all of it's going up on ebay when i get some ambition.

i read about that yesterday on slashdot. how does the military "lose" top secret parts? i'd like to assume they track when things are shipped and when they're received between sites, and that if something doesn't show up when and where it should someone gets reamed a new one for it.

i think the quirk where you're going to the top of the thread is a result of the note beneath the posting box
