they always tell you to stay off the golf course (1997) they spend $$$$$ to keep those golf courses in good condition-they don't want them all dug up.

Hello, because people are idiots and dig down to the grass and screw up the grass. You kind of need a good green to play golf, so that's why they tell you to stay

away from there.

Honeybearrr...there is a sports dome on rice street just south of larpenter, it has a park with ball fields befind it and the street Park is one of the side streeets that run

into it. Does anyone have anyother thoughts on that or know the name of the place I am refuring to? By the way we were there about 3:00am and there were a few

people digging but had kids with us and live 30 miles away so returned home for some quick rest before going out again soon.

Hey CC- been in favor of BC for awhile, are you thinking 3M for clue 8?

Sun, 01/31/1999 - 12:47 PM Permalink
christopher campbell

First of all, Clue 1...Public park in St.Paul Clue 2..Flying down hill-Holman field is right behind the park as well as a big sledding hill. plus there is ice skating which is

also a popular outdoor attraction Clue 3...A 9,5 and somewhere a four, it either means that it was at Battle Creek 4 years ago in 95, and there is field 4,5 and the

new lighted ski trail closes at 9 Clue 4...Studying the past-Battle Creek elem. used to have old portable classrooms....But theres value as well in the new-they just

added on some new classrooms in their remodel. the iconoclast, you need to think out of the norm, but also, Longfellow and Winthrop were both Iconoclasts, both

those streets run along or into Battle Creek Clue 5...Yearning for something worth learning, the school Clue 6...A man of fame offers a useful name-Babe ruth, ruth

street runs by there, plus ruth is in books as well as the book of ruth in the bible. also, it talks about a gameand home, both things refered to in baseball Clue

8...Longfellow St. runs right by B.C. and Longfellow wrote the song of Hiawatha, which is about a quarry which takes care of todays clue And thats why i think its

at B.C.!!!

Nancy the park you are talking about is Rice and Arlington (fields) How do you think all the other clues fit? I will say that it is a very old park but the City of St. Paul

just bought the Dome. It was owned by Inside Sports

The small park vs. big park argument doesn't apply anymore. Since everyone is confused and at about 6 different parks this late in the game. In fact - this would

support it actually being at a smaller park rather than a larger park!
