It's time for the Medallion Hunt! The first clue will appear on PioneerPlanet just after midnight Saturday, Jan. 22. Come back here to compare notes with other treasure seekers, but be certain you read the rules on the Planet's Winter Carnival page.

Please don't argue about whether it is a park or not.
Hypathetical question: If you found the medallion could you and would you just go home and let people dig for nothing?? Would someone do that . I know theres no
Heck, I'll be there. I want to be out there as soon as possible, and I want to meet some of the people behind the names here. I never know if the person I walk by is
someone on the cooler or not. I'll be wearing the long brown coat, black windbreaker pants, and dark blue hat.
If everyone wears something white that is not traditional winter wear, we'll be able to find each other out at the park. It will be the identifying mark of a cooler
I agree - all common sense says it is at Conway - Sorry for suggesting it - I think everyone has been taking the clues WAY to deep (me included) - Let's go out and
There is the 3M sign and also you can see the red SUN from the Sunray shopping center sign...but the clue most likely refers to the 3M sign. It is funny to see how
reluctant people are to believe that it is in Conway just because they have never heard of it before.
P.S. There is no Conway school on the property...and the park is not divided up into two parts...go and see for yourself though.
If I found it, I would tell people - once I was safely in my car! I'm sure it's at Conway too, but I just don't know where. I was there for 4 hours yesterday, I went
there on my lunch break today!, a couple hours after work and now I'm home to rest a bit and then I'm going back.
Sethmon - There are a couple of cell phones in the group. We will get a call. This time of year, I wish I had one of those contraptions. The rest of the time, I really
don't need one.
Haven't heard from Green since I saw her out hunting today.
The person from the Pioneer Press is in the park watching the area that medallion is at. Trust me, If you find it he'll know and he'll walk right up to you.. They don't
want people bringing it to someone who has a button in case they don't.
Does anyone remember a few years (lol...maybe 10) ago when the final clue came out, but the Med wasn't where it was supposed to be! It was finally found at the
edge of the parking lot about 50 yards from where it had been buried. With the way Conway is dug up we could have the same situation there.
I want to find this damn thing so bad...if I found it I would use the money to get elope (get married) in Mexico!! I will be at Conway at 11:31 if it is not
Yes, for sure. I think that It's on the hill just outside the playground. If you stand in a certain spot you can see 3m, water tower and the true value sign. BUt, the score
board has a sign on it for Eastern Heights bank. ???
Hey Terry Valentine. I met Green today in person along with Radar and SueBee. We all went out for dinner together. We looked for you but could not find you.
I'm terribly sore from hunting all day, and tired. I'm sleeping through the night, getting up early to hunt after the clue comes out. Good luck to you all. I'd be surprised
Allison - What time was that? We left for a bit to grab a bite at the Burger King, came back for awhile, and then decided to head home and get the next clue. That
Back to Battle Creek - my daughter suggested that maybe the round ice rink was the round, white & stretched tight - when ice "stretches" it cracks...etc., etc. Also -
the "translucent" and "new" clues could refer to the new lights they just put in and they light up the PEAK of the sliding hill.
I was thinking for a while that the mention of iconoclast implied it might be hidden in a very unusual way, but I just didn't see that many unusual places it could be. I'm
dreading the idea that its at the bottom of a snow bank or something equally ugly to have to dig through.
Someone today said you know, they wouldn't put it too close to the street. It might melt and get buried deeper by the snow plows. I didn't bother to tell him that not
last year, but the time before when it was at Cherokee, it was very near a fire hydrant that had snow plow blessings to dig through.
Please don't argue about whether it is a park or not.
Terry if you go early how will you get the new clue?
Hypathetical question: If you found the medallion could you and would you just go home and let people dig for nothing?? Would someone do that . I know theres no
way in hell i could.
Is Green still around or is she digging?
You're trying starbury.......

I agree - all common sense says it is at Conway - Sorry for suggesting it - I think everyone has been taking the clues WAY to deep (me included) - Let's go out and
shovel people!
I couldn't do that. I would want my money right a way to make sure I didn't lose the thing.
That would be my luck! Lose it after finally finding it!

Sethmon, were you there today? We saw someone fitting your description.
If I found it, I would tell people - once I was safely in my car! I'm sure it's at Conway too, but I just don't know where. I was there for 4 hours yesterday, I went

Well I would'nt announce right there in the park I found it.
Yes Steve I was there!

The person from the Pioneer Press is in the park watching the area that medallion is at. Trust me, If you find it he'll know and he'll walk right up to you.. They don't

TIM F- Maybe the white round thing is NOT what it is in - maybe the "figure" is what it is in...
Dave - that pavilion has triangle, arrow-shaped frame..what do you think? You can also see the 3M sign and the water tower from that spot.
I'm interested Victoria?...BUt what could we do?
Conway is packed. There is even a vendor there selling pop and hot dogs because of the crowds.

Steve where was he?
I want to find this damn thing so bad...if I found it I would use the money to get elope (get married) in Mexico!! I will be at Conway at 11:31 if it is not
found yet.
For most people it is now a sure thing that the Med is in conway....I just pray that tonite is a location within the park clue and not another generic
conway clue.
The correct coolercrew greeting goes like this...
You dig?
I dig. You dig?
Back after an exhaustive search, getting some grub and heading back out. I was wondering....... anyone think the True Value sign means anything?
What's up cooler crew!
Jackie - Many people have thought so....the valuable sign.
But no luck-- right? THIS IS SO FRUSTRATING!!!!!!!!!
Yes, for sure. I think that It's on the hill just outside the playground. If you stand in a certain spot you can see 3m, water tower and the true value sign. BUt, the score

Green should be on shortly.
yo man, u'all talkin' to much smack. the things at conway G in some old hockey tape.
Seeker me you have a good idea about the playground... I checked in the black crawling area near the hill, but came up empty.
I'm terribly sore from hunting all day, and tired. I'm sleeping through the night, getting up early to hunt after the clue comes out. Good luck to you all. I'd be surprised
if it's found in the dark.
Allison - What time was that? We left for a bit to grab a bite at the Burger King, came back for awhile, and then decided to head home and get the next clue. That
snow was hard digging through today!
Back to Battle Creek - my daughter suggested that maybe the round ice rink was the round, white & stretched tight - when ice "stretches" it cracks...etc., etc. Also -

I AM SORRY TO SAY THAT IF YOU READ CLUE NUMBER 7 CAREFULLY, IT WILL TELL YOU TO FIRST LOOK FOR TREES IN A LINE, WELL
THAT REFERS TO "FOREST ST" FOREST REFERS TO TREES AND STREET IS A LINE IT ALSO SAYS THAT SOMEWHERE IN HERE IS A CLUE
QUITE CLEAR. THAT CLEAR IS CLEAR AVE WHICH INTERSECTS WITH FOREST ST. THUS THIS CLUE LEADS TO ******LAKE PHALEN
PARK**** BUT REMEMBER TO STAY AWAY FROM THE GOLF COURSE AND ONLY LOOK ON THE ST. PAUL SIDE. SO ITS NOT AT
CONWAY!
Terry, I think it was around 4:30 or so.
